Eeeehhhhh. Yes and no. If you have never played a Bioshock game before than this is definetly and interesting game. Yes in the sense that is has a beautiful setting and amazing voice acting. Also a no, if youve played the original Bioshock games then infinite is a let down from the previous entries, it lacks a lot of the things that made the original games great, and in comparison it feels more like a CoD game then a Bioshock game. I didnt enjoy it no where near as much as i did the originals and i am very upset that i preordered the game instead of waiting for the 75% off holiday sale. This is just my personal opinion, alot of people loved it and a lot of people hated it. Again this is just my PERSONAL OPINION.

It's a story > gameplay game but I liked both aspects a lot.

In my opinion,it's one of the best games ever made. The story, art direction, voice acting and of course, the soundtrack, all make it one of the most memorable game of all time.

The game is OK, but I do not like having to restart a level if I have to stop playing. I wish it would save where I stop and pick up at that point the next time I start.

My opinion, this is one of the best games to come out in a long time. Just my opinion, but I am a huge Bioshock fan. I think all of the Bioshock games are utterly fantastic.

well, i have played the bioshock (first one) demo and though i thought that was great even though how short it was would that still make this game decent or would the game still be good

Did you ever played Bioshock 1/2 - if no go for it. I'm untouched by previous games an I'm loving BSI. If you like actions/shoters you will probably like it. Game has extreamly good level dessign, environment and atmosphere. Music is very good. Most strongest emotional moment was game ending when Booker finaly put down his weapons and start telling his story - one of many. Oh god I was shocked, impressed. It's not common gaming expirience today, but Bioshock Infinit give it to me.
Are you hardcore player - go for it. Game allows hardcore mode. This mode is good, including several limitations (not all weapon are good, not all vigor skills are good in different combat situaltions) and you will be forced to learn how to play game with these limitations while you will suffer limited resources. This is what I like and make me feel I'm playing some old school game. It's not extreamly hard, but there is a good chalenge.
I was realy surrprised, the game give me much, even more I was expecting. But I guess this game is not for everyone.
Sorry my english is not good.

I think if you played the firt 2 you will find this much less enjoyable than those that jsut played this.

This game feels like the combat is soulless and the story is OK. This game was made to appeal more to the eye than to the gameplay. Teh other 2 have far superior gameplay. 1 is a tru classic and one of the greatest games ever on most lists.

This game isn't bad, but I think it is maybe the most overrated game in the last several years for how highly rated it is. It has high quality production and is a AAA game so it makes it about a 7/.10 game jsut for that, but it discarded so much in gameplay fromt he previous two games to make the combat, leveling, etc. very boring to me.

There is a lot wrong with this game from a gameplay standpoint and progression. The lack of any real good and regular boss events in this game hurts it a ton, the asinine save system hurts it because of the collectibles the game has. The use of only ONE currency to upgrade EVERTHING is a serious failure for gameplay variety. Combat strategy and dpeth is very weak compared to the others. You wouldn't know any of this, however if you haven't played the first 2.

This gmae is pretty, and runs well is the best thing I can say about it. STory is OK and fine. It's the reason most people like it. It's pretentious and stupid in a lot of places to me.

The thing about Infinite is that it pretty much changed all the mechanics and points made in the first two. If you like atraight up fps games then this is infinite, the originals were a solid mix of fps and rpg

True, but I wouldn't exactly say that Infinite is a great FPS game either for the combat and mechanics. PAssable, but nothing actually new, or interesting in firing a gun. They dumbed down all the aspects of the "powers" (Vigors here, or plasmids in 1-2).

I thinkt hat absense of the strategy possibilities fromt eh first two is what i missed most of all in this game. The ability to set up traps and use the security systems was such a fun thing to do. Especially in BS2 with allt he combinations of powers where you could have BEES inside syclone traps.

Gameplay and combat isn't too bad and depends on selected difficulty. Most people are playing BSI in normal mode. This mode is designed for beginers, players not playing action/shoters often and unexpirienced player. It's hard to find some chalenge and strategy in this mode.

Difficulty was never something I've heard anyone complain about in this game. Liek I said...the gameplay is just boring. Lack of variety and options compared to the rest of the series. This is by far the easiest of the 3 games due to there being little int eh way of enemy upgrades as you go further. SAme things all the time and you have a personal medic following you around as well with ammo and health!

There is no reward in this game for doing anything really.

I wouldnt even say Infinite was a great FPS. I completley agree with you about all the missing stratgey elements. A good FPS provides a balance of action and tacticle possibilities, inifinite didnt really provide much more than straigh up shooter. It lacked all the RPG a tacticle elements out of the first game.

What kind of things do you look for in FPS games, anyway? If you give us some info then maybe we can help you come to a decision.

Not sure if your talking to me or not but if you are, I look for an FPS that not only has an incredibly good story but it also has to have more than just straight up shooter. Shoot-em-up games like CoD or Team Fortress are fun enough for a while but its not something i can really throw hours on end into. If you want me to enjoy a game you have to make sure the combat is steadily balanced between action and strategy, give me ♥♥♥♥ to work with, combat alternatives, envirments to manipulate. To me the combat in Infinite was just to dull, while some of the vigors where intersting (gotta love that Murder by Crows) i never really found a use for them as the weapons were so OP. I picked up the shotgun and the handcannon and after that i didnt touch another gun, even playing on hard mode and the bits of 1999 that i fooled with those guns where pretty much a one hit KO. In the original games i loved how the plasmids could be used in so many ways, distractions, lower defense, manipulate others, seriously who didnt love the Big Daddy controlling plasmid. The originals put a lot of RPG aspects into them that allowed you to fight however you wanted. In Infinite it felt like every fight was the same way, enemies appear, i gunned them down, move on, repeat. And if we look at the story....i couldnt stand it. I understand that there a lot of people out there that loved the game all around and where totally engrossed by the story and thats cool. But to me it was nothing more than a load of existantial ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥t. I understand that they where trying to think deep with the story and i get that but nothing about it hooked me. I only continued to play the game in hopes that it would get better, but for me it didnt. I grew up on the original Bioshock games and Infinite had tons of potential but i felt that it just didnt live up to it.

So agian as a stand alone game, its a beautiful shooter with lots of good aspects, but as a Bioshock game i feel that it fell miserably short. And again this is just PERSONAL OPINION.
