BTS & AI Mods
I just got Civ 4 and BTS. Haven't played any Civ games before and read a lot of raving reviews of Civ4 and BTS. I'll play on BTS, but is the AI good or do I still have to grab an AI mod. Seen so many mods no idea which one is up-to-date or relevant.

I've haven't played much of Civ IV, but from what I have experienced the AI is nice and fair. There is various difficulty levels but I don't know if they affect the AI or just the environment and economic bonuses.

the AI is good, it does not stand out, but they still flank you, come at you from behind, yadayadayada, I have been playing this for years, and i have never used any mods

Later in the game, watch out for them flanking you with transport boats...

OK, I managed to find Better AI and Better BUG AI mods. I tried Better BUG AI and man the changes in the UI threw me for a loop! I'm much better off just using Better AI and leaving the UI alone until I get the hang of the game.

If the UI ever gets tedious for me, then I'll use Better BUG mod.

Rise of Mankind. Its a very stable Mod compilation what imrpove the game into new level making it even better than Civ V, believe me.
