Late Game Cereal Mills bug in BTS
Not only can I not spread Cereal Mills (it's not greyed out, it's just not there). I have headquarters in my capital but I can't spread it. and the cities I had it in don't anymore. It has spread to my vassals before, but everywhere in my territory they'v...
Prince, 8 civs, balanced, low sea, barbs on, goody huts on, tech trading on, epic speed
And I keep losing.
I watched a few youtube guys playing and they usually limit the AI civs present and/or play a funky map and/or forbid tech trades. I keep reading about "I won on Emperor" etc, but all I wanna know is: What map? and How many AI civs pr...
I came back to play civ after a long absence and was disappointed to find that the game no longer works. Mouse controls don't work, for example. Certain menus don't allow you to make selections. I know the game is way old but if it is not being maintai...
A Short guide to playing Carthage and using the extremely strong Fin/Cha traits together for best results. Hannibal brings two modes of play to the table and understanding how to play him as much as how to play the traits are equally as valuable.

A great family bonding game
Back then me and my big family of 12 all used to sit around the one computer that we have but this was only at night since we were a active family, but anywho after dinner we all gather in the living room around the computer and launch the Beyond The Sword.
Settings If I recall were - No Vassals - 12 players ands 6 ai which makes 18 total - SmartAI - Diffculty Deity it was fun xD - All land map a few lakes here and their - Smartmap - Domination Victory - Random Civs
Luckly I got Isabella, fast foward sometime in the medieval era I declare war on my Brother of Japan ( still has archers xD ) steam rolled through his empire, capturing his cities and eventually wiping him outta of the game. After being conquer he got b***** and pleaded with the rest of the family to conspire against me since I was a big threat which was obivously not true, cause if you look at the scoreboard and minimap it was clearly Gandhi ( AI ) but whatever they all declare war on me and sadly wipe me out ;-;. Yeah I don't remember outta of the 16 civs who won all I remember is, that I was pouting and storm off and decided to skateboard out in my driveway xD
You know you are a addict to civ 4 when you decided to draw a big freaking minimap over your bed all 52 civs or whatever the number is to your map xD
- Brings back memories - Super addicted - And my favourtie game of all time
Yeah yeah my grammar/spelling sucks but hey we all have weaknesses :)
The Definitive version of Civ IV. The expansion adds a lot of stuff, well, beyond the sword. Colonies, vassals, spies, and more up the complexity level into and beyond the Modern era!
If you're going to buy Civ IV, play this version of the game. It's the most complete, with the most civilizations, the most features, and everything needed. However, those coming from Civ V might find it jarring. Micromanagement is the name of the game, and there's more factors to factor in then in Civ V. it does have better Dimplomacy!
But the best reason to use this expansion is the modding community. It's STILL going strong after all of these years! Check on CivFanatics to see the many mods, such as the expanded RFC which explores human history, or the famous Fall From Heaven which transforms the game into a RPG game. Or check out the many Earth Maps, or other scenarios and premade maps. Caveman to Cosmos explodes the game into a much larger in scope game, from slingshots to laser guns.

OK the endless waves of barbs out of fog are annoying
On higher difficulties it goes animals, then barbs, and then axes and spears. Which is ridiculous as on certain maps there is no iron/copper in sight. And these bad boys REALLY spawn. Turning off barbs - it is simply too ridiculous to get whole armies ou...
