Failed To Start Game (Missing Executable) Please help

I have an issue along with my friends installing Andy Priaulx Crowne Plaza Raceway. I have Race 07 installed along with all the upgrade packs but when I try installing Plaza Raceway it barely installs anything and then when I run it, it simply says Failed To Start Game (Missing Executable). Does anyone know why this is? I have tried removing all the upgrade packs so its simply Race 07 and Plaza but still the same error. As I say my friends are getting the same issue, please help.

PS I have tried all the Steam advice by flushing Steam cache, running as Admin etc with no luck. Its like the download is broken. Also it might be worth mentioning that my Race 07 was a Steam CD bought from a shop? would this stop me from using this free DLC in some way? does it only work with Race 07 when Race 07 is purchased from the Steam store? if so how do I overcome this?

Same issue here won't install when it says it does. Is a pity as some of the models from it are needed for the BTCC mod to work.

top man, thank you for letting me know. I thought I was all alone with this issue. Looks like you want the DLC for the same reason as me, the BTCC mod :). Hopefully they will sort this download issue out for us as its being sold in the Simbin mega bundle so they are obligated to fix it.

same problem here. the dlc used to work fine, but lately i formatted and updated from xp to 7 and after downloading it again the dlc is not recognized inside the main game.

I have the same issue all other race 07 content downloaded and installed with no issue.
their server must be broken and they just don't care

Another one with exactly the same issue here. I just downloaded everything today and I'm itching to get stuck into some BTCC action on race 07. This is driving me crazy!!!

Hi again, I fixed my issue by downloading the DLC via a torrent site. Still get the error when trying to launch the DLC itself but if I launch Race 07 I am at last able to get my BTCC fix. Hope you get yours fixed soon mate.
