It's not a assato corsa or any other next gen graphics AAA Game! It is a very great Gem, great handling, solide graphics and a huge amount of Mod's!

with GTR evo you can mod the most, most cars etc... but keep in mind to buy later the rest of the game (race 07 - base game, stcc, retro etc...)

MP is still activ but most lobbys have special cars you may not have.
..for singleplayer or just a few rounds / timelaps etc... it's still a gem!

OP: From the description to the game on the page you linked, it seems you get Race 07(that is the base game) plus GTR Evolution expansion. If they are not lying, that's a good combination.

Simbin games are meant for steering wheel and pedals. A good Gamepad works too, as long as you can assign trottle and brakes to a touch sensitive button or stick. I've tried it with a Logitech Rumblepad. Works fairly good, but to get the most out of the game, wheel and pedals is the thing. I use G27 atm. Forget keyboard, you can use it, but you're just gonna ruin the game experience.

The multiplayer is still alive.

Oh, I gotta say, I love the Lister Storm car from GTR Evo pack.

Do not buy this game. It will not work. These Steam/Simbin ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥s have ruined the game. DO NOT WATE YOUR MONEY.

A Great Game must have for any racing sim fan , a bench mark game, sadly the multiplayer game has been ruined by cheaters, but I would still recommend this game highly, for Single player.

Perhaps one of the best games I've ever bought. It's really nice, there's a large amount of mods, it runs really well too, graphics are actually really nice for a 2007 game. It's well worth the $4 and the DLC/addon game packs are really nice from what I've seen and heard. I'd recommend it if you don't have a nice computer that can handle these newer graphics then get it. It's not F1 2013, or Grid 2, or something but with mods you can certainly get up to that level

Yeah, it's a good game, decent graphics, definitely a good price for the number of car options and race options and tracks you can have, for the price.

It is difficult to run with keyboard, period. There are very few racing games which got the keyboard right. What is strange is that the early Need For Speed games, such as the original Hot Pursuit were quite playable via keyboard only. They played as well as say the old arcade game on the arcade machines, in my opinion, like Pole Position with its arcade machine joystick and a few buttons.

But other than a few of the early Need For Speeds, III, and old version of Hot Pursuit, I haven't found one that works quite well enough with keyboard since. The newer Need for Speed where you play cops and speeders, I think that is Need for Speed Hot Pursuit II, is absolutely terrible with keyboard, at least that's my experience.

I've heard people say it can be played with a decent gamepad as per the suggestion above.

If anyone can suggest a decent value in Steering Wheels with this series, I'd be interested for getting one for the summer and playing the game with it.

They used to say that the Logitech one, MoMo??, was a good purchase, but that was years back. Perhaps a few suggestions are in order.

But with a good control system, I'd think the game is well worth the money. There is less customization than the newer games, and the graphics are a bit less detailed, but given that you really feel the speed in the controls and the view, you aren't going to really see most of that chrome anyway. If you have a less cutting edge system, as I do with a mere Intel HD 2500 GPU, you can run it fine, which means good fps, good look, and good response, which is what really makes a racing game.

Works great on my system also, but the multiplayer is touch and go for pickup races, probally good for a league.

Still the best racer (hard to compare Adventures for example, but also thru 30 years contender as best game i ever bought) actually and still the cheapest game since start and now its embarrasing as they on best give it to you for their own costs. Its free more or less.

Theres alot servers and yes many have PW or mods but you will always have ppl to race with
and one more time: (Its disturbing when guys got the best game for free and startout the greedy talk of mods.
DONT START A TOPGAME with the modtalk..buy the great game and race it til you bleed then consider free mods out of simbins power.
But you wont get to the point you have nothing to do with even ONE car til it dies (omg sadness and that "lived this game for 6 years"-emptyness that always ocmes with games you think you never gonne meet again.

I bought the basegame R-07, GTR-Evo, STCC2 or more separatly in shops then i got some addons as gifts from 2 good friends, so im not sure but i saw yesterday a injection-bundle
here on steam with ofcourse the mother R07 (wich all others addons are sent thru), hope i dont lie if i say GTR-EVO (30 euro for me back then, but fully acceptable as its almost a complete game itself and kick♥♥♥♥♥cars and tracks), then it was GT-Powerexpansion, WTCC 2010 and Retropack. Thats 6 of i think 9 or 10 parts (but RR and Crown Plaza you get for free thru download, so whats left..eh, STCC 1 or 2, and Race-On wich i bet they also give you close to free.

So all in all, I personally Think graphics still are sexy for an old man and that lipstick is not
add anything to the driving. I would rather say many of them actually disturbs as those effects
are lightchanges that irl is close to the games but in the game its not easy to ignore them and soon become annoying.

Could compare this game to CoD 1 & UO, REALLY SEXY graphics but not overdozed and perfect amount as later games punch themselves by good looks but are there just because they could and rather show-off than throw some away that more disturb the gameplay, easy to get into and impossible to stop (goddammit) just due to no masturbation-buttonmania, just
few simple well sorted basic moves and clean, sessy graphics that WORKS with the game.

If we talk girls... i just cant take the pastellwitches, i prefere a natural, maybe lil sminked
shy girl that are what she is, true, heartly and down to earth and got no needs to act ♥♥♥♥♥♥ wich makes her superbeautyful and as addictive as the moderat games with same natural basic properties.

yes i just said that and probly most lost in glamour-gamers here think im an idiot so...
Ok, i call the hospital myself..

Logitech G27: In the package; A wheel with Force Feedback and flappy pedals (nice for semi-automatic/sequential transmissions), an H-shifter(for good old manual gearing), and pedals with clutch. and a bunch of buttons, all can be used. Not just on the Simbin series. iRacing, LFS, Dirt3, Gran Turismo(ps3) just to mention a few.
It's not the best set on the market, but it's sure hell of a nice set for the price, no doubt.

Hello ♥♥♥♥♥♥, sad kid of today..you have NOTHING of true value when it comes to soul, honesty, decency, it got lost with the hiphop and other sad qualitycut from people not have a clue of how it should be. well you cocky bunch of buttboys, its rather the loss of it and the close to be like USA and its ♥♥♥♥♥♥ models, THATS WHAT MAKE ME sick and soon kill our country of no competition and soon we are as stupid, shallow and moraly nupped so our kids will be like you..great. And im sure you like the way we lived after..solidarity man little lost daycarepopper and i-think-everything-is-free-and i have no respect for anything as im a failed abortion made in USA and soon i join the army and get awife how nupps all men around til come home to my unpaid bills for medcare and the jobs are so ♥♥♥♥ed by goverment capitalismfools who give a♥♥♥♥♥♥bout you and let you fall.. call me then and tell me something more about sweden. you are only by no knowledge american-stupid-proud with no insight.

so i forgive you human being on the other side.
AngryPostmanSthlm Feb 27, 2014 @ 10:37pm
Im afraid thats what we have to live under if people dont put their feets on the solid ground.

Its not my fault, its not your either but we are victims to it and im so old i can say it dont have to be that way.. and when (if possible) it could turn around in the name of human souls i would be happy for see people born after 80 get their fair share of a life little more unpretentious,
laidback and 70-s spirit.

You could be yourself and not judged by shallow crap like that, and fony things they think is required instead of relax and let time have its time, people be people, jobs - no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥t CV-prostitution, steady and decent workplaces and LAWS for it.. and the whole kit actually.

Peace aqualung <3

TheSpocker, thanks for the recommendation. I'll write down the Logitech G27, look at some reviews, and see about maybe purchasing it during the summer. I'm sure it wasn't easy to glean my question from the thread, so I appreciate your effort. I've got a whole lot of racing I'd like to try with several of the Simbin packages and Need for Speed Hot Pursuit. I'm positive that with the right input I will have a great deal of fun. The Simbin games are almost playable with keyboard, it's just very hard to remain competitive except with just the right car and set-up, it's just too hard, although it still is fun. With a good wheel set-up I'll have more fun and enjoy more even when I mess up. So thanks very much.

postewar -- LOL. I'm presuming you were responding to post #14 -- perhaps that is the genre for that sort of literature. But it might look good on a Simbin blurb on the back cover of the box:

"A young punk rattles his chassis with the blaring sounds of hip-hop while you are parked on the interstate during rush hour. You ask? Is this all there is? A couple stupid strands of unending hip-hop bouncing off your ear-drums while your six-pack in the trunk creeps to room temperature? Have you had it up to here with Depressive Realism?

Grab your♥♥♥♥♥♥and sit your six-pack in the shotgun seat on one of our Simbin rides and teach that loser who's the old man of the track or the punk with the junk."

Or perhaps in a review:

"The beauty of the Simbin titles is that they can be depressingly realistic. One moment you are losing it as a whirling dervish and you realize -- I just wiped out. I can imagine looking for my six-pack in the shotgun seat only to find it empty. Depression. The next moment you realize that your rear end whipped the enemy racer into the guard rail. I can imagine his sub-woofer in 100 pieces. Wicked laughter. As I slam it back into gear and leave some treadmarks I reconsider -- Simbin is artist and I'm being educated in Depressive Realism."
