Does anyone play these?

Was a big fan of Sam and Max hit the road when that was on DOS, So how are these? Worth playing?

Well to each his own, but I thought the original had a flavor to the humor that the new ones do not capture. They are much more kid-friendly and censored in the new ones. And also there isn't the sense of exploration. You don't discover a dozen locations to explore, just 2 or 3 at the most. Makes it feel a lot more claustrophobic than the old DOS game.

That being said, it still has some decent humorous moments and dialoge. A lot of people like the new ones, so it's worth checking out at least to see if you like them. Maybe buy one episode and if that wins you over, get the rest.

Overall I'd personally say they were OK.

These games. THESE GAMES. These were my childhood. They're frustrating and stupid at times, all those early Telltale Games are, but they're really good. They're silly, Sam and Max have great character, and though the rest of the game world is sometimes dry or boring, it really captures Purcell's atmpsphere. you should totally get them.

The old ones, the new one is just a little so-so.

Wish they'd restart the series.
