Anniversary: A recreation of the very first TR

Due to the fact, that your post is from over a month ago, I don't know, whether you're still interested in an answer to your question, but two things I have to say:
1.) I agree with the comments above: play the last three TR games in the order:
-Anniversary
-Legends
-Underworld
2.) Given that the new "Tomb Raider" is an Prequel to all the other TR-Games...wait 'til it's out and play that one first - but be aware that there lie several years between the games, so...the last (new) one might look better, than the first (older) three (which still look good!).
Oh, and the gameplay may differ from the older ones (more action, lots of QTEs in the new one).
I don't know how disturbing you might find this.
