Help with Temperature
It seems that no matter what my efforts are, I always seem to get to 3 degrees and upward. I try my best and I organize effectively by targetting the countries with the most emissions first and going from there (I'm playing with the unofficial patch by the way). My record so far is having the world at 3.3 Degrees, but with a NEGATIVE Carbon emissions of nearly 25,000. Yet despite my efforts it seems that temperature just doesn't go down at all. I've tried Stratospheric aerosals, but they seem to work for about two turns and then make the problem WORSE. I'm just not sure how to control these temperatures, how to stop the Amazon from collapsing so early, and how to prevent getting to 3 degrees so early. Any help is appreciated. I've tried to watch let's play videos but they're hours long and most aren't with the unofficial patch. If anyone knows a text guide that would be a big help, any and all help whatsoever (tips, hints, tricks, etc.) is appreciated, thank you!

Amazon collapse is the key, since it generates so many emissions early into the game that you won't really be able to reduce temperatures from that point on. The Amazon collapse triggers at 2.75 degrees if less than 80% of the original Amazon rainforest remains (thanks to deforestation) or 3.25 degrees if more than 80% of the original rainforest remains. As a result, you'll want to make sure you do everything to keep global temperatures below 3.25 degrees via Biochar, strategic Aerosol use, population control, energy control, emissions regulations cards, etc.
Also, as much as you try to reduce emissions in the most polluting regions, remember to make sure that regions that aren't currently polluting won't have a sudden increase in emissions in the future. For example, if you stabilize India and reduce their sick members to people can actually go to work, India's coal use will rise dramatically to the point where it will release more emissions than North America and Europe combined.

There's a specific deforestation Policy card that will protect Amazon from most impacts.
