3 Degrees Questions
I Have a Question, during my games around 2060-2095 i seem to just run out of oil, and no encouraging beforehand in any region helps, this leads to massive unenployment as all the regions industries fail, this leads to a loss in budget which snowballs into no money + going over 2 degrees, also im trying to stay below 2 degrees because im following this guide(http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=177029793), but the guide does not mention running into any oil problems.
any tips?

The guy seems to use Biofuels to cover oil problems, but I know from experience that that's never enough.

You could try some of the following: 1) Transport to Electric in as many countries as possible once you've got their oil mix low enough, 2) Acquire the Advanced Drilling tech in all regions (or if you're going to play Increase Oil Production, just in regions where you're planning on playing that card), 3) Population control (so One Child Policy and/or Gene Plagues), 4) Playing cards that reduce oil and energy usage for various sectors (Organic Farming, Business & Household Regs., Industrial Carbon Regs., etc.), and/or 5) getting 3rd gen biofuels ASAP to max out biofuels production when Expand Biofuels is played (1st gen biofuels' oil:biofuel ratio is 1:1, 2nd gen's is 2:1, 3rd gen's is 8:1).

You don't need it in all regions. Some areas aren't really worthy of the expense.

Its way more important to secure the middle east and give it oil tech, full stability, education and drilling tech ASAP, and produce extra oil. You want this ASAP.

NA needs Natural Gas. China (and the ME when its population starts to go insane from the economic boom) can use 4th generation nuke plants to cut their dependency on oil.

Remember you can cut oil use for power in countries - those nations will try and make up the power in other sectors, and it gives hearts if the nation is alturistic or better. That and organic farming (particularly in South America) helps immensely.
