Tomb Raider Anniversary shows blackscreen

When I try to start the game I just get a black screen on my main monitor and my 2nd monitor just flickers.

19delta3 is right. I had an issue with Legend not liking my multi monitor setup. Black screen with audio only.

this game was realesed in 2007 as a multiplatform release, i seriosly doubt they would patch it now

I seem to have a solution to your problem, since i had the same one.
Try playing on the monitor with the lowest resolution, that was my secondary monitor with 1280x1024 (instead of the primary 1920x1080). You can change the monitors in the config programm. Tell me if it worked. :)

Spike's idea did not work for me, but what did work was the Steam.dll fix along with when the screens are flickering. pres Ctl+Alt+Delete but just press cancel. No idea why but that's worked for me.

both my screens are the same res but i am getting a black screen i can here the game, going to try the fix posted above will let you know if it works. if not it means i will have to mess my desktop up and to be fair its not worth the hastle of it.

it did not work for me even on one screen it played the intro then crashed to desktop without an error, i will just have to play it from my Xp Pro, does mean i have to reboot to play it but at least i can play it now.
