xbox 360 controller "Left" stick sensitivity

is there a file that i can edit to reduce the stick sensitivity . the game is playable but its very very twitchy when trying to walk/run/jump straight. i know there are a few programs out there to help .. but i would like to do it from an .ini or config file if posable. thank you ..
