Whenever I try to play it, it says profile error. What does that mean? What do I do?

Try to verify the integrity of game cache,

In your Library right click Tomb Raider game than choose
Properties
than click the tab Local Files
and finally click the Verify Integrity of Game Cache

If the game cache is corrupted repeat the process
