My Mission Pack : Official Maps Tour
Hello guys!

I don't know if some of you still play with bots in solo but If you want a fresh new Mission Pack, I'm pleased to finally release my own pack.

Named Official Maps Tour, it features the 22 Condition Zero official maps plus the 11 Counter-Strike 1.6 official maps without CZ version.

You can play either counter-terrorist or terrorist.

As far as I know it's the more polished pack ever released, but I let you give me some feedbacks :D
(first, a lot of English mistakes I assume)

To install, just unzip the file in your main Steam folder :)

Official Maps Tour v1.4: http://cscz.gamebanana.com/gamefiles/2839

Enjoy! ;)

does it include the map miami?
Irvinou Feb 6, 2013 @ 10:51am
No. I hesitated but finally don't include it since it wasn't officially release on PC.
Maps playable in the pack are :

Condition Zero :
- cs_downed_cz
- cs_havana_cz
- cs_italy_cz
- cs_militia_cz
- cs_office_cz
- de_airstrip_cz
- de_aztec_cz
- de_cbble_cz
- de_chateau_cz
- de_corruption_cz
- de_dust_cz
- de_dust2_cz
- de_fastline_cz
- de_inferno_cz
- de_piranesi_cz
- de_prodigy_cz
- de_sienna_cz
- de_stadium_cz
- de_tides_cz
- de_torn_cz
- de_truth_cz
- de_vostok_cz

Counter-Strike 1.6 :
- as_oilrig
- cs_747
- cs_assault
- cs_backalley
- cs_estate
- cs_siege
- de_nuke
- de_storm
- de_survivor
- de_train
- de_vertigo

But yeah I encourage everybody to try Miami from Counter-Strike XBOX, available here : http://cscz.gamebanana.com/maps/26686
It should be interesting to create a pack with all cut maps during the development of Condition Zero like Canal (http://counterstrike.wikia.com/wiki/Canal ) and some others.
But it involves using the auto-nav system for bots, far less efficient that hand-crafted nav created for the official maps (I assume), and I would include the map in the pack, which would greatly increase the size. It's why Miami is not in the pack.

But thanks for your interest!
Official Maps Tour Mission Pack is also available on GameBanana : http://cscz.gamebanana.com/gamefiles/2839

Hey Irv|n3,

Check out my TWS map pack here -> http://jasonwilliams400com.startlogic.com/snor/weeds/Counter_Strike/TumbleWeeds_Counter_Strike_Server_Maps.zip ... it includes a hand-tuned bot NAV mesh file for Miami. I play that map all of the time, lot's of fun :)

BTW, that map is included as one of the missions in Counter-Strike: Deleted Scenes.

Also, this one -> http://www.17buddies.net/17b2/View/Map/21691/de_rubble.html / http://www.17buddies.net/17b2/View/Map/11407/de_rubble_cz.html was the base for a previously unreleased mission for Deleted Scenes... Kiltron's "Terrorist Retaliation", that he used to have available for download for DS from his web site eons ago :)

Thanks! Miami is a great map, and using bots is the easier option to enjoy it :D
But definitely not in this pack ;)

About Condition Zero cut maps (from Deleted Scenes or not), I've done some research with other guys from the CS wiki and we have a complete list, at our knowledge :
as_destown_cz
cs_arcticbiolab_cz
cs_miami_cz
cs_penal_cz
cs_truth_cz
de_bridge_cz
de_canal_cz
de_cityofsin_cz
de_quarry_cz
de_rubble_cz

THANKS FOR THAT LIST! I was looking for some of the map names, but never had any luck. Looks like you can download most all of those maps from 17Buddies too :)

(Edit) P.S. About that "de_Rubble_CZ" map: Also inlcuded in my map pack, along with a hand-tuned bot NAV mesh file (just like the Miami map... complete with proper 'place names') :)

I just checked out those maps from 17Buddies (except of course for Miami and Rubble, as I already have "Weeds-ificated" versions of those in my TWS map pack, along with bot NAV files)... man, those maps are great! :)

Really a shame that Ritual didn't finish them up and add them to the release version of CZ.

Also, that "de_Bridge_CZ" map is really a work of art :)

P.P.S. ALL of the maps in my afore-mentioned TWS map pack have been slighty edited in such a manner that they ALL work not only with CZ, but the regular Counter-Strike as well :)

I'm wondering, is it possible to modify nav files of official maps?
Not a big deal, but it can be some improvement in Siege (bots can fall at the CT start), Assault (bots stuck at the end of the vent) and 747 (bots stuck behind the ladder in the cargo hold).

I assume we can't fix bots using HE grenades anywhere (but mainly when there is absolutely no enemy).
Rich ¥Weeds¥ Nagel Feb 7, 2013 @ 8:54am
Yep yep, all of the official maps' NAV files can be easily edited. You'll need to extract them from the "Condition Zero.gcf" file (within the GCF, in the "czero\maps" directory).

One thing that always drove me nutz is that exit of the ducts in cs_Assault... blasted CT bots ALWAYS get stuck there, and USUALLY end up getting killed while humping the ladder LOL!

Yeah, nothing we can do about the HE grenade usage. I usually disable grenades (as well as shields) for the bots when playing with them... get too damned sick and tired of getting killed all of the time; "FIRE IN THE HOLE!" "FIRE IN THE HOLE!" "FIRE IN THE HOLE!" "FIRE IN THE HOLE!" "FIRE IN THE HOLE!" LOL!

The shields usage is a real PITA with the bots... I'm sure that you have probably witnessed on more than one occasion the "Mexican standoffs" between a CT with a shield, and a T LOL!

BTW, the 747 cargo hold... there is NO way to fix that one (I've tried it myself on several occasions).

The problem is with the way that the bot analyze code handles ladders (you can't manually add or edit ladder NAV meshes, and a lot of the time the "auto-analyze" cobbles up certain ladders' connecting NAV meshes... depending on how the ladder is actually placed/situated within the map itself).

In the case of the ladder(s) in 747:

The actual ladder connecting lines (the pink and blue lines that you see when NAV mesh editing) are on the WRONG side of the ladder... hence the bots simply stay there and hump it.

Unfortunately there is NO way to force the connections to be on the CORRECT side of the ladder... simply a glitch with the way that the ladder has been added to the map itself (in combination with the bot code's auto-analyze).

P.S. I just remembered... you don't have to extract the NAVs from the GCF to edit them. Simply "bot_nav_edit 1", and then save it (bot_nav_save), and a newly extracted and saved version can be found in your Maps directory :)

P.P.S. Something that you might find useful -> http://jasonwilliams400com.startlogic.com/snor/weeds/Counter_Strike/Documentation/Counter-Strike_Condition_Zero_Bot_Commands.htm :)

P.P.P.S. Off-topic, but 'scRIPted FATE' and I had a pretty nice CS16 game on Miami last night, along with my... ahhheemmm... WeedsBots :)

bots and grenades are annoying as hell. i think alot of people still play with bots from time to time, so thank you.

Hey Irv|n3,

(re: de_Bridge_CZ) I don't suppose that you know of a download for a version of that map that has the screwed up transparency fixed for some of the textures? The hanging vines textures (as well as a few others) aren't displayed within the game with transparency (making them look butt-ugly).

I tried loading the WAD into a texture editor, but everything looks kosher to me (the textures in question are all tagged as transparent ("{"), and they appear to use the proper palette index and color for the transparency; palette index 255, RGB 000,000,255).

New version:
- Updated instructions and package design to fit the new SteamPipe system
- Included detailed texture files for CS1.6 maps by RichNagel
- Included cs_747 map with solid curtains by RichNagel (you should still be able to play with other people on the classic cs_747 map without uninstall this)

Available here: http://cscz.gamebanana.com/gamefiles/2839

(I posted this over in the Steam CS:CZ Forums as well, simply a cut 'n' paste):

Looking good! :)

I remember you and I previously discussing the menu hotkey fix that Valve did to the "CZero_English.txt", but after looking at the updated one that's in your mission pack it appears that they ALSO fixed the typo with the caliber of the ammunition for the Fabrique Nationale P90 submachine gun.

Hehe, I wonder if they simply downloaded my file here -> http://jasonwilliams400com.startlogic.com/snor/weeds/Counter_Strike/Game_Fixes_and_Patches/Counter-Strike_Condition_Zero_Class_Menu_Hotkey_Fix.zip / http://jasonwilliams400com.startlogic.com/snor/weeds/Counter_Strike/Game_Fixes_and_Patches/Counter-Strike_Condition_Zero_Class_Menu_Hotkey_Fix.zip <grin> :)

One other difference that I saw (excluding the custom entries for the maps for your mission pack) was this change:

This:

"Voice_Location" "%hs @ %ls " // format string for voice icons with location (snwprintf, not localize()->ConstructString())

...has been changed to this:

"Voice_Location" "%ls @ %ls " // format string for voice icons with location (snwprintf, not localize()->ConstructString())

I noticed that when I tried using the updated one, the names of the players (bots) looked like gobbledygook when they would radio-chat LOL! (As you know, I'm still running the 2009 non-updated version of the game) :)
Irvinou May 21, 2013 @ 1:43am
In fact the P90 ammunition is my edit, not Valve :D
(but I'm sure they can change it if we ask them)

The hotkey fix is not only in czero_english, it didn't work before they change something on the core code.
