Failed to start game with shared content?

I cant play either CS:CZ or vinnila. I dont know how to fix this

So - how did you fixed that ? Have the same problem with Counter-strike now - it wants me to update Half-life... but i don't have it in my games and not going to buy it just because :)

oh me too. so i sit down to have a quick game cause my time is limited and another update = another graphics problem. i had to -window in launch options. thanks valve or steam or whoever is responsible. ITS NOT LIKE I AM RUNNING AN OBSELETE SYSTEM! FFS. WINDOWS 7, FULL UPDATE NVIDIA DRIVERS, DIRECTX .. FFS! I wonder what system the update worked seamlessly with??? !!!???

Hey ill keep you posted. Im going to look it up again as sadly i forgot how i fixed it.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ updated and now when i launch cs it just gives me a black screen. I can hear the clicks when my mouse moves over the menu items but i cant see ♥♥♥♥♥

ffs short-term goto library - right click game goto launch properties -- type "-nofbo".
