New CZ Mission Pack Collection, "Project Réunir"
This is a pack that includes four mission packs that cover maps that were included in the Counter-Strike Beta, in Counter-Strike between version 1.0 and 1.5, maps that were cut from Condition Zero during its development and finally maps from Counter-Strike Online.

YOU NEED TO UNINSTALL OLD VERSIONS OF THE PACK BEFORE UPDATING!

All maps included in the pack have hand tuned bot navigation files, overviews and detail texture support included.

Counter-Strike Beta Map Pack
The Counter-Strike Beta map pack includes the maps as_forest, as_riverside, cs_alley, cs_bunker, cs_desert, cs_docks, cs_facility, cs_hideout, cs_iraq, cs_ship, cs_shoothouse, cs_station, cs_tire, cs_wpndepot, cs_zoption, de_fang, de_mirage and de_railroad. The mission pack takes you through all these maps.

Currently, a total of 6 maps included during the beta stages are not included. These are cs_mansion, cs_prison, de_jeepathon2k, es_frantic, es_jail and es_trinity. These will be included in the next major release of the pack, though they will not be made part of the mission pack.

Counter-Strike Map Pack
The Counter-Strike map pack includes the maps as_highrise, as_tundra, cs_arabstreets, cs_thunder, de_foption, de_rotterdam, de_storm2 and de_vegas. In addition, the mission pack takes you through all Counter-Strike 1.6 maps that didn't get updated for Condition Zero.

You can also choose to install the training room maps which were included in the retail version of Counter-Strike. It can be started directly from the main menu, though only in Counter-Strike 1.6.

Condition Zero Deleted Scenes Map Pack
The cut maps portion from Condition Zero, appropriately titeled Deleted Scenes covers the following maps:
as_destown_cz, cs_arcticbiolab_cz, cs_miami_cz, cs_penal_cz, de_aztec2_cz, de_canal_cz, de_cityofsin_cz, de_comrade_cz, de_quarry_cz, de_quarry2_cz, de_rubble_cz, de_sienna_cz, de_turth_cz and de_vostok_cz

It also introduces the Akunin (based on Yakuza) and Jujigun (based on Aum Shirinkyo) terrorist player models and the Kidotai and SRT/SWAT counter-terrorist player models. The Xbox easter egg skin is also included.

The Counter-Strike Online portion has all the maps from this game included:

Miscellaneous
The installer also includes the possibility of installing some bug fixes and enhancements to the game.

Updated the mission pack, has the following new stuff:
- New map pack, "Counter-Strike", including maps from version 1.0 to version 1.5
- Includes possibility of installing the Training Room from the retail version of the game
- Added de_turkey_cso to Counter-Strike Online map pack and mission pack (replaces de_vegas_cso)
- Updated "de_comrade_cz" to the most recent version
- Updated "de_aztec2_cz" to have its bombsites properly named
- Updated "de_cityofsin_cz" to no longer use conflicting texture names
- Detail textures for original Counter-Strike maps have been improved
- Fixed/improved some career map thumbnails
- Some improvements on the enhanced map descriptions
- Includes fixed bot navigation files for Counter-Strike maps which will be installed with the map pack

Wow! This is an amazing piece of work! You've done what I had been doing in the past but got frustrated. Too many CSO (now CSN:Z) maps to fix for AI bots, too many .aiw fine-tuning and too many overviews to create from scratch. I can only thank you.

Do you have any plans to keep adding maps to this? Like, for example, the three zm_abyss maps (converted to dm_ like I privately did a lot of time ago), dm_union or even the CS Beta maps? It would be awesome, but I understand that it could be a hell and very time consuming.

You even fixed the black texture issue in de_canal_cz! Wow. This map still has a little bug that I think it can't be fixed (bullets "impact" on the air shooting under the bombsite's bridge) or you can get stuck in the air if you jump on the right side of the ramp near CT's base (right path) at cs_arcticbiolab_cz even though nothing's there.

Thanks for the reply! ;) The Counter-Strike Online .nav files are indeed pretty worthless, but for now I've used the official overviews for all of the maps (except for de_dazzling and de_toscana where I made minor modifications) even though some of them have apparent problems. The CZ and CS retail overviews are created from scratch though. My plans are that for version 1.00 of the pack I'd replace the CSO ones with apparent problems with proper ones created from scratch.

I have no plans to actually convert maps from different game modes to ones supported by the original Counter-Strike/Condition Zero. Checkmate was a special case since it seems like it was actually originally meant to be a simple dm/annihilation map but this was changed later on (some places still call it dm_checkmate). Besides the map is pretty much identical in both directions so it was a perfect fit for annihilation mode. But regarding the zombie maps, considering that CSN:Z is also available by now I don't think it's that needed anymore either. (And I've not been playing the unofficial zombie mods enough to know how to make maps compatible with those.)

dm_union is actually included so I don't quite see what you mean, unless you mean converting it to a defusal map which I've seen available in some places. But since I'm no professional mapper I really don't know if such changes would result in a balanced map. And it doesn't seem like it was ever meant to be a defusal map anyway even though the layout in general is quite a good fit.

I have actually made a private update where I have updated the maps that have since been officially updated (de_turkey and de_dust0) and added a new compatible map (fy_iceworld) but I haven't yet released it. I've been made aware of the fact that de_storm was actually updated by the author (released as de_storm2) but for some reason never officially put into circulation and I'm planning on having that map also included in the next update. My plans are actually to finish this minor update by the end of the month.

The readme actually mentions plans of including all the beta maps but honestly it is a monsterous task and thus far I've only finished 2 of the 24 maps that I've planned to include so it is quite far from being released. My plans are still to eventually finish it, but I have no idea how long it might take... Not to mention that the bots have serious problems with some of the maps.

As for the bugs you've mentioned in the beta CZ maps, the fact that the black texture thing was fixable in de_canal was just a pure strike of luck. I don't know how well versed you are in the map format, but usually such changes would require decompiling of the actual map but in this case it seems like they had actually tried to set the texture as transparent but just used the wrong value. Had it not been done, the map would have been needed to be decompiled to fix the issue. I'm sure you have tried the leaked version of de_bridge, and in that map these transparency issues are not fixable without actually decompling the map (not to mention there are plenty of more issues that would be needed to be fixed, so decompiling would be necessary anyway).

I'm aware of the bug with the bridge in de_canal, but unfortunately it wouldn't be fixable without decompiling the map. There are a few other oddtites with the map that would also require decompilation to fix (e.g. there is one vertex/polygon/side missing from the signs that display the canal logo resulting in them having kind of a hole in them). The bug in cs_arcticbiolab sounds similar though I haven't personally noticed it. I don't think decompiling the maps would be worth it in these cases (since it would likely cause more additional bugs than fixing the few smaller issues). de_bridge is another case entirely and decompiling it would be required to make in anywhere near what I'd consider a playable state.

As a side note, I've tried to make contact with authors of CZ maps that were designed during its development but never released/leaked. Alas, I've had no luck yet getting any of them to release anything :(. The main problem seems to lie in the fact that Gearbox Software owns the rights to these maps.

Updated the pack to v0.76. The changes are as follows:
- Updated "de_turkey_cso" to the most recent version
- Updated "de_dust0_cso" to the most recent version
- Added de_storm2 to Counter-Strike map pack and mission pack (replaces de_storm)
- Added de_dazzlingprtw_cso to the Counter-Strike Online map pack (huge thanks to talismanisland for providing the de_dazzlingtw file!)
- Added fy_iceworld_cso to the Counter-Strike Online map pack
- Expert mode in the mission pack now uses alternate versions of some maps; fy_iceworld_cso replaces dm_ae_cso, dm_kart_cso replaces dm_gallery_cso and de_dazzlingprtw_cso replaces de_dazzling_cso
- Counter Strike Online map descriptions updated to ones from Counter-Strike Nexon: Zombies (they have better English than the Singaporean/Malaysian version)
- Bug fixes updated to fix some errors in the Counter-Strike and Condition Zero class selection menus
- All "dm" maps now specify Annihilation as their game mode in the map description
- The installer now specifies which games specific components affect
- Some detail texture mapping files improved
- Improvements to the enhanced map descriptions

Updated to version 0.80. Has the following changes:
- Added teaser of Counter-Strike Beta map pack, includes 10 maps
- New bug fix, "PAUSED" text is no longer displayed during mission instructions and credits in Condition Zero
- Bug fixes now also affect buy menu where the images are now properly centered and the ampersands are no longer missing in the K&M weapons
- New alternate enchancement that will NOT get enabled by default, changing the weapon names to their real-life counterparts
- Added two new skins, Jujigun and SRT/SWAT, to Deleted Scenes mission pack and changed the assigned bot skins to suit the names better
- Added two new alternate skins for Arctic Avengers and Elite Crew that looks more like their original Counter-Strike versions that are used in the mission pack
- Updated "cs_miami_cz" to look for the fastline sound effects from the same folder as other maps (duplicates removed)
- Fixed "de_quarry2_cz" looking for the wrong overview image
- Various improvments to bot navigation files

Version 0.90 is finally here. The changes:
- Counter-Strike Beta map pack almost complete (save for escape and "prototype" maps), with mission pack
- Counter-Strike (Original) mission pack bot names changed, there was a slight mix-up previously
- Removed enhanced weapon models since they were lacking tactical shield models (should reappear in the future once fixed)
- Added Joe Winters with his appropriate skin to the Deleted Scenes mission pack, as he appeared in the Xbox version
- Various changes to "de_aztec2_cz" to make it closer to "de_aztec_cz" in general astethics
- Various improvments to bot navigation files
- Improvements to the enhanced map descriptions

Unless something critical turns up, don't expect another update on quite some time.
