Non-Steam version

I bought cod4 goty from a store but when i installed the game I found out it doesn't supported bt Steam. Can I get a Steam version if i register somewhere my CD Key or something like that?

You could try just getting the CD Key from the box or whatever and putting it into Steam. Otherwise, you'll just have to play without Steam, which is not a big deal.

Retail CoD4 keys do not work with Steam. If you bought the retail version, you have to do all the updating, the old fashioned way. Updates are still online somewhere, you will want to update to the latest of 1.7

That key currently can't be activated on Steam.

Laptop65, good to know. Anyways, I have updated the game manually now and it works like charm.
