3D Acceleration cannot be enabled
Hi there, I have a Problem with Bejeweled 3.

I can't choose higher resolutions, B3 says "3D Acceleration cannot be enabled on this computer.Your video card does not meet the minimum requirements of this game". I have AMD Radeon HD7850 with latest drivers. My OS is Windows 8 Enterprise 64bit.

I think this is a Win 8/AMD Beta video driver related issue.

I had the same problem with my Nvidia GTX 260 driver.
I couldn't increase the resolution or enable 3D acceleration.

The problem lasted for 2-3 driver releases from NVidia.
I have a thread related to the topic in the old forums.

If you are still having the issue, but from what I have concluded, while it heavily involves the graphics driver, it also has to do with your display.

If you visit this thread you will see in the last post, they mention about using different connections to their display to make it work.

I'm having the same issue where I can't enable 3D acceleration. I am using an Asus laptop, Windows 8, AMD processor with an AMD GPU from the 7000M series with the dual graphics setting. So while we share some differences, we share similar drivers.

When I connected the laptop to the monitor via HDMI, the game booted up using 3D acceleration no problem. What's the difference? I'm not sure. All I know is that the display device also plays a part in the error with the driver.
