USA signed secret pact

Ok so on superhuman, 1st of May, USA out of the game. Thats 1.3 million loss :( Will be tough economically now.

I know it's pretty random with pacts but never seen USA do this.

Whats your experience?

place your base on the country that givesyou the most cash, and make sure to keep any and all alien ships, landing etc from it.

Usually if I build my first base in Asia or something far from the US I might lose them. But that's only if I don't build another base in time there in America. And even then, you bet I'm sending patrols there, especially if I see a rise in the graphs in that area.

It is quite random, and there's not much you can do to prevent it on superhuman. At best, you can delay the process. Ideally, you'd have a second base up by March so that you can cover both North America and Europe or Asia. Get a hyper-wave decoder up as early as possible as well, so you know what the aliens are trying to do, and so that you can detect 100% of all UFOs in the area.

Yea, but it was kinda too late to save them I think, my second base was Asia and third was USA. Canada out too but that's np, got 3 bases working on manufacturing stuff. I guess you get independeble on funding later in the game.

Japan tend to have no confidence in my leadership.

Patrol area's where you don't have bases. This will severely slow down the possebility of pacts being signed with the aliens.....at least the first few months.

It's important to note though that once the aliens have targeted a country for infiltration, it will go down. The most you can do is slow it down by taking all the UFOs you can, but you can't actually stop the infiltration mission. Losing countries in the original game isn't as big a deal as it is in Enemy Unknown. You'll lose a lot by losing the USA, but you can make up for it by selling lots of plasma weapons and manufactured weapons. Laser cannons turn the best profit so mass produce and sell them if you can.

Also a tip: A completed infiltration mission creates an alien base on the turned country's continent, so send some patrols to find it.

If you need advice on playing superhuman... Don't play superhuman.

It's not really random. Before a pact is signed the Aliens have to complete an "alien infiltration mission" in that zone. Before they can launch that mission you will see a large scouts. Here is some info that should help you though the imfiltration wave and tell you what to look out for.

Also I hate to say this but unless you have modded your game, you are not playing on superhuman difficulty. There is a bug in the vanilla game that resets the difficulty to begginer after you reload it.
