How do I put my soldiers in overwatch? I saw in a video that it was with kneeling, but that doesn't seem to work.

If you mean firing on enemies on the enemies turn, they'll do it automatically. You just need to reserve enough TU's for them to shoot. There are three red buttons to automatically reserve enough TU's for different types of shots (aimed, snap shot, auto).

Do you know how to get tanks on to the skyranger? I bought a cannon tank and about 6 shells but for some reason in the skyranger inventory there is no option to bring shells, without which I can't bring the tank.

You need to have enough ammo so the tank can be fully armed (20 or 30 shells I think?). It loads the shells into the tank automatically when you add it to the equipment list in the Skyranger.

30 rounds for a cannon tank, 8 for a missile/blaster tank. Las and plas tanks don't need ammo loaded.
