BioShock Glitchs :(

[Mahou☆Shoujo!!]

Ever sense I bought BioShock it never worked on my laptop. So I change the graphic options to a lower standered and turned it to windowed but it just changed the options back every time I change them. I always go "New Game" and then "Medium" and it starts loading then video just freezes in the middle of loading and it never progresses past that. Does anyone know why BioShock would be doing this? Please help, I havent played this game in such a long time!

Bought this game the other day and I'm having exactly the same problem as you. Even PC Gamig wiki doesnt have an answer. I'm stumped

actually that is an excellent fix for the problem what most people dont know is that you cant use the downloads for the C++ and direct x programs without taking the computer back to the xp operating standard which is not fully compatible with vista through 8 so please do use my fix and see what happens it should work and clear all the problems you have and stop your resolution issues

Just got it working. It was because I hadn't updated my graphics drivers! Hope you get it sorted.
