Cannot run Bioshock with SPDIF at all!
My bioshock.exe crashes at launch, with my sound card (Recon3d PCIe) driver spawning multiple "clean up" helper files. The problem is that the game simply won't run with SPDIF. It has something to do with there being more than one playback device enabled other than the sound card in the Sound section of the CP. I use SPDIF out to a receiver, so I have to use it, but since it displays as a separate device, Bioshock won't run.

I have tried disabling SPDIF just to see if the games runs, and it does, but the sound glitches out and mixes all five sound channels to the front left and right satellites only (5.1 setup), leaving me with crappy, but functioning in game sound.

And check out this weirdness: the Steam version of Bioshock is v1.1. I have an original retail box copy, and that game will run without 1.1 installed (i.e., v1.0). So something about the 1.1 patch is causing my issue, which is such bull ♥♥♥♥.

Is there any way to fix this so that I can use SPDIF?
