Best game on earth... wish they'd remake it

This game is comparable to 20GB-100GB games (yeah right, 100GB lol) that we got today. This game oh man, this is WITHOUT mods, because YOU CANT MOD IT!! Grrrr...

Still, the scope of this game is insane, amazing. I wish they'd remake it because if it was fully realized in todays tech, and had everything they planned... wooooooooh!!!

Totally. A modern remake that is moddable, has multiple enemy factions to fight, more equipment variety etc would be amazing.

freakin A right man..... I just dont get it, we see parts of this epic game spread apart to like 10 different games... and NO one has bothered to combined them??? sheesh,

I mostly "cry" to hear this.
I am such a huge Fan of the first 3 xcom games and in my opinion xcom apocalypse is the best tacticgame i ever played.
With jagged alliance 2, this game is just epic.
And yes, i totaly agree with a remake, but 2k games got the license, but you see what they have done with the original ufo enemy unknown game.
xcom enemy unknown, which has nothing to do with a great game.
I would love if SOMEONE should do a kickstarter with a apocalypse remake, i would totaly pay up to 200$ and i am d*ad fu**ing serious and i never payed more then 60$ for a game.
I also got the original CD of xcom apocalypse.
It is a shame for todays gamers, they never will see a good remake of xcom apocalypse because of 2kgames.
But maybe someone will start a kickstarter and copy the game, i mean xenonauts looks pretty nice, but it is a ufo enemy unknown "remake" or more a look a like.
I would recommend this if you want a real xcom game.

There's a couple file editors for the game - someone went as far to make you play Megapol versus the failed XCOM. I'd happily pay again for HD sprites, graphics and a new tier of weapons.

yea they got a good platform with space engineers for a modern take on destructible environments they could let the community build the city.

I have already posted on the forums asking this question it didnt really take off though.

Seriously check it out and tell me you dont get that feel from it.

Rather then a remake I think i'd prefer simply a HD version with all the content added that was originally planned. I'm so fond of Apoc that I wouldn't even change the quirky art style.
