train track unlayable

am i the only one to have this problem? i only just bought this game and for some reason i am unable to lay any track at all. can anyone please tell me what the problem is?

Try starting a company. Or, if you already did that, starting a company with more money from investors (and yourself). More money from investors means more of the initial stock in their hands, though. You might also check to see if you have the rights to lay track where you were trying to build it.

one off the files got corrupted actually, but thanks anywy. even though i played this game to tears and remember alot of detils, least off which is that a company was required and that yes you were able to lose control by devaluing stock. meaning a new company had to be built te replace the new one.
