Hi there.

making a succesfull game is just a series of trial and error to be honest. one idea i would suggest is that you use the metros. set up a station or two in the citie center where its usualy hectic then connect the metro to outher popular areas. this will get alot of revinue and should be profatable quite quickly. additionaly try to feed the metro stops by creating bus/tram/watter buses which alow people who are outwith the cachment area to get to the stop (and make you more money).

secondly never be to afrade to lone from the bank. it is quite usefull surprisingly.

with bus routes make sure that you are preportional with the length against the speed of the bus. if its a slow bus then use it for short routs while if its a faster one then use it for longer routs.

additionaly use the data layers provided as they will help alot. in general if the blue collers live in one area, they will want to get to work some how. just build from that and see how you go

hope this helps :)

Have at it:

CiM is pretty realistic and also hard. Your busses can cause traffic jams etc. Also keep: Short, Clear lines. With an interlocking system.

Also a begginers tip: Dont let your busses stop on busy roads! Let them stop on the side roads, which are usually alot less busy so less traffic james.

Also sometimes if there are alot of people at a station waiting and you have a lot of transport on that line. Remove a bit of the transport. Sometimes having to much vehicles on 1 line just slows it down.

Also never forget that you can reverse every line you have.
