Shooting dead bodies
I miss shooting dead bodies and watching them move like in CS:S. In GO the bodies go stiff as soon as they hit the ground and this i think is a little stupid of valve. Why would they remove an awesome feature. Most people don't care about this little thing but it would be so nice to have it back.

It was removed for good reason, the last thing we need are bodies flying around blocking shots or vision etc. To be honest it would be even better if they took it a step further and introduced a corpsestay command such as 1.6 where bodies would actually sink into the ground and disappear.

You have to remember this is a more competitive intensive and focused game than Source was and as a result some things need to be disabled or removed to stay in line with that.

Remove features in competitive and let them stay in casual?

CSGO on PC is a half console port. That is why you have weird menus and little to no physics.

They want to retain consistency in their game modes so what you experience in one mode will be consistent with the next more or less and a smooth transition. Casual mode for them just like they have said in several interviews is an entry portal into the competitive world of Counter-Strike, it's a place for new players to get comfortable with the system and how the game works or for regulars to relax care free.

It's not a console port or even half of a port, it's a multi-platform game which was designed and developed as such with functionality for all sides. Making a completely different interface for each platform is taxing and a waste of resources. At the end of the day it's no different than how it is setup in even Counter-Strike: Source, it's just a more simple and metro style UI.

You need to remember that the game has full controller and Hydra support so it's not just meant for the mouse and keyboard crowd. This game is all about accessability which also factors into the low price of the game. They wanted to reach as many people as they can from all walks of life that the other games simply didn't bring in.
