Too much team damage ban in matchmaking.......
While I am all for banning people that team attack to be voted out because of whatever reason, I have been banned twice now(Both separate matches, but same thing happened both times) for honest team damage. 1 guy on my team popped up and I killed him with an AWP(happened both times), then I had someone walk into my line of fire and I got kicked. These 2 were honest accidents. NO ONE could have avoided hitting the people I did. I simply had a few people that just didn't know how to play very well or didn't care. I have had less than 20 teamkills(in scrims or this new matchmaking) in the 10 years or so I have played CS. Sometimes it just happens. Sometimes people just run or jump into your line of fire.....anyways, I am only making this post because I feel this new implemented kick system needs to be adjusted ASAP. Anyone else getting kicked for accidental damage?

Yeah it's bogus, but it would be really hard to format something into the game to know if it was on accident or on purpose just saying.
Metal Feb 8, 2013 @ 6:28pm
I agree with you, but they already have a format implemented. It is actually really easy to change/fix this issue. I use to set our servers to do it on source. Also, the problem now is you will get banned/kicked if you teamkill 3 times like before, however you will not be able to reach 3 tks before being kicked/banned.

Well ♥♥♥♥, right them an e-mail or letter and get their attention on this, I honestly think they should just take it off or move the TK up more so after 2 kills you just don't get banned... and you should also be able to dispute your ban for if it is an accident... idk a lot of things could be done.

I edited my first post. This happened to me two different times, both happened the same way. Bad luck perhaps lol

I know they changed it because people would just shoot their team if they wanted to leave a match. They would do this then get kicked so they wouldn't get a ban. Sadly votekick should work, but it has to be 4 votes rather than 3 like it should be.

Yeah have the majority kick a person instead of everyone kicking one person... sounds fair and legit to me!

Yep, same here. 2 Days ago got banned for playing with 3 other friends and a cool random guy. Problem was, they were noobs, accidently ran into nades, walked into scar....yada yada...FF ban. 168 hours. WTF? This is such ♥♥♥♥ing ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the people behind cs:go are absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. 1st they lie about how many guns and maps. then they dont even release proper mod tools (blank compass anyone?) then, they dont release ANY new maps for centuries. This game had potential but the devs just fail so often. fail city. whos the jackass that didnt want to implement a "forgive option" for tking. WTF?!?!?!?!?!?!? I'm sorry but thats just ♥♥♥♥ing common sense in a major fps game nowadays. what the hell is wrong with you people?

wow are you guys serious ? hum .. what !? take FF off matchmaking ? really ??
that's HILARIOUS !!
also funny that ppl complaining about tk bans always state that their teammates just "pop in their line of sight" ...
if you can't help TKing then MM is not for you yet, and the ban system is just fine the way it is

Well, surely it can happen when you play with inexperienced players or you just make a mistake. Point is, FF should be on comp servers ofcourse, maybe the way the damage is counted and the sshhold should be altered a bit?
A headshot with awp can give you over 400 damage, i read somwhere the treshhold is about 300 or so :D

1. The weapons that will be included in CS:GO have been revealed long time ago, before the first beta. There are more maps to be released in the future.
2. Radar works fine.
3. Tell me what other FPS game does have a "forgive" option (server mods don't count).
4. There is nothing wrong with us.

lol calm down, Billy ! i'm sorry if my post offended you but it didn't mean to ..

most ppl here just complain about everything without any good reason, using ♥♥♥♥ every 3 words, CAPS !?!?! , rage at valve and ppl with different points of view, but keep in mind you only show your immaturity when you do so, and we don't get what you really meant to say.

Valve is actually doing good with this game so far ! matchmaking is great, the game is different from 1.6 and source on many aspects and it is developed better and faster than source ! they also consider players thoughts for the next updates (yea they do, when you explain your feelings with readable words and without insulting or flaming anyone, if your points make sense, they do ! )

you're upset by the ban, i hear you, but i still think it's fine :)
if you pay attention, speak with your team, keep an eye on radar, listen, etc... there is no reason for you to make any TK.... of course you can damage a teammate by accident sometimes, but you won't get banned if you pay attention.

we are talking about competitive matchmaking, FF is ON, and you have to play as a team and communicate,
if you don't like FF (or if you were banned from MM) you can still play on CASUAL servers,
and if you made 2 TKs with AWP in the same game then you should consider playing with a rifle instead -_- and then you won't get banned for the accidental friendly fire.

have a nice week

Your ignorance is astounding.....

1. (From release day store description they changed it eventually)

CS:GO expands on the classic team-based action gameplay that Counter-Strike pioneered. Featuring an arsenal of over 45 weapons, loads of maps, new game modes, new visuals, leaderboards, and over 165 Steam Achievements.

^^ You can count 45 weapons? You consider "loads" 8 maps? (owned()

2. You must be a newer player. For building a custom map valve did not include the tools to make a proper compass for custom maps. Therefore, every custom map would include a blank compass. (owned)

3. Hmm lets see. Every battlefield game, Wolfenstein, Brink, dod, cs:s, quake wars, every game with FF almost has an option for that. (owned)

4.Who is "us" are you a dev? If you are, then you should be ashamed for band-aiding the situation instead of looking for a proper soloution

Your post id not offfened me, your just missing the point. If your playing with noobs, TK can accidently happen and it's simple, it's something you just can't avoid. That is why I play FF. I dont want FF off (i never said that) I said people should not be getting kicked for ACCIDENTAL TK. I dont know why you cant make any sense of that.

I'm not a dev and I don't see anything ignorant in my post. And you just can't figure out what I said.
All the games you wrote down here have a forgive option as a server-side mod, they are not implemented into the game actually. As for the hours spent in CS:GO, I've been in beta since 23rd March, 2012, so I'm definitely not a "newer" player.
Chacal Puant Mar 8, 2013 @ 1:07pm
but how can you judge if a tk is accidental or not ? answer to that question and we may come up with a solution....
the forgive option is absolutely not an option for me, competitive play must have the exact same rules for everyone,
i agree that sometimes you just can't avoid damaging a teammate, or even kill him if you're not lucky, but the tk damage cap is high enough to be fair, so as long as you don't spawn tk, kill 3 teammates in a game or do a LOT of tk damage you won't get banned,
so to me everything is working properly and there's no need to rage at anyone.
