Overwatch question regarding scores if voted wrong.
So the majority wins but what if at the end of the day it turns out that "the suspect" ended up being vacced? So lets say 9-1 votes in favor of "insufficient". and it turns out the suspect is actually hackimg... What then?

Does the investigative scores then get reversed?

You don't know your rank, not precisely since there is variability among badges. You don't know your CD status(es). You don't know your Overwatch score.

But hey you know exactly how many trading cards you have.

Knowledge is power.

Go Valve.

If you dont cheat you prolly wont get banned. If you cheat you will get banned, sooner or later.

Anyone who play CS for long time can sense cheater miles away, not to mention when you are being spectated by that person.

The problem is going to be ghosting ower teamspeak, as its going to look like wallhack in some cases and may be false positive.

Neither one of the response is close to what the question is.

I doubt very much the overwatch will result in VAC bans at least until the system is tested and proven to be reliable. Some of the reviews are far from easy to call and doubt the devs. would want anyone being falsely VAC'd as this would be very bad for buisness and for players that are just very quick and accurate.

Nono I mean like if the investigative voted that "the suspect" wasnt hacking at the demo provided but it turns out that he actually IS hacking (voters are pretty bad) via proof that he got VACCED banned later on, not because of the votes, but because his hack was detected then.... So lets say 9-1 votes... The 9 voters would get a + on scores and the 1 would get a - on the scores....

Would the scores then get reversed?

wouldnt it be funny if all this overwatch business is just to placate the masses, and it doesnt really do anything at all
Touriste Jun 14, 2013 @ 7:21pm
@ WHAT :
You can not do that because the guy may be hacking now but not the case before, so it is a problem.
V. Jun 27, 2013 @ 9:06pm
You can pause and fast forward the evidence opening the demo control panel while watching it.
SHIFT + F2
But be aware to fast forward only insignificant parts otherwise you may end up having to watch some parts again...

Overwatch is incredibly successfull. One of the best things Valve and the CS:GO team has come up with, right next to the AK, M4, and AWP. I can't more highly praise Overwatch beta! Thumbs up, double guns!
felanoma Oct 21, 2013 @ 3:06pm
I dont really understand your question, Overwatch does not VAC Ban, and in case the guy was cheating and got vac banned then who cares if overwatchers fail to discover him, it just does not matter.

First, Its impossible for only 10 people to vote, like this it just doesnt work in terms of scores.
Im guessing it goes like this, through your rank, you get lets say your first 10 games set, so you can set your score (clips from pro players/known cheaters), then, according to your score, you will get certain cases. Cases that are heavily reported by lower overwatch ranks will climb up ranks, until it is decided for a ban (or not).
To answer your question directly, NO, because later conclusions dont affect overwatch score, and its the majority that matters, its impossible. But 99.9999% of cheaters on overwatch WILL get banned, if they go up to higher ranks, its practically impossible for someone to come out of there without a temporary ban.
