Looking for a new mouse
So my Razer Deathadder (old model with blue light) has been having the double click issue for a few months now. It stopped for a while but now it's back and it's been annoying, especially gaming. I've been hearing good things on the DA 2013, SS rival and Logitech G400. What do you guys think is worth a try? I'm usually a claw gripper and i've had my DA for about 2years so I really enjoy that shape and feel. Also what do you guys think about the Logitech G500? Is the DA 3013 and SS rival similar in terms of size/shape and feel? I'm sort of leaning towards that, but I saw a review saying it's not that great for claw grip cause it's a bit slippery.

My priority would be:

Shape/size
Quality
Long lasting
and something that has M4 and M5 on the side like the DA.

Cheers

I have a RAT7, one of the best mouses I've ever had.

Deathadder 2013 has a great shape in my opinion, but Razer have the worst quality control I've ever seen.

The first one I ordered had a squeaky left click. Sent it back, got another... had the exact same problem, but it was actually worse. It's been over a month and I'm left with a faulty mouse. At this rate, I'll be sending the mouse back every week.

So be wary of that.

Another golden oldie is the Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer. It has a sort of similar shape to the Deathadder, and a flawless sensor. I used one before the Deathadder, and it's still going strong. It's pretty well-worn at this point, but it definitely still works. At least the left click works properly after 6 years of abuse. That's more than I can say about two brand new Deathadders.

There's also the Zowie EC Evo. It has a similar shape and is loved by many, but I've never used one so you'll have to do some research.

Imo, if you are happy with the DA, stick with it, the DA13 is an improvement of the DA 3.5, same shape but with rubber grip on the side and, better grip on the wheel, plus the price is cheaper, i got one on amazon one month ago for 40€.
But if it's only a swtich problem you can try to clean it or replace it with Omron swtich for 1$, there plenty of tutorial on youtube if you don't know how to.

DA2013 is good in terms of tracking performance, in fact briliant, but it comes with what feels like a cheap-plastic build quality.

I have it now, I'm happy enough with it, but were there anything I could substitute it for - I would without much hesitation for the sake of the build quality and life-time expectancy of the mouse.

I just got a Zowie FK and it's pretty nice. Apparently has a really good sensor.

I have death adder and even though it is top-notch quality at aiming: feel, maintained sliding smootheness after years of use, overal durability, performance... But sadly it lacks in other important areas:

1st) ♥♥♥♥ing wheel sometimes spins on its own.
2nd) No DPI control, you can only set 100 200 300 etc, so if you play in different resolutions and need precise DPI control you are ♥♥♥♥ed. For that reason I can only play with 900 DPI@1920x1080, no more no less. (luckily at least one playable option >_>).
3d) A stupid program called Razer Synapse must be working at all times for this mouse to function. Which is a disaster.
4th) It costs a lot. I felt like smashing this ♥♥♥♥ into a wall when I figured out these problems but investment was too ♥♥♥♥ing big for that sort of an end xD

All in all, at least its core functions for aiming are well made... For that I decided using it until it breaks down on its own. But I will never buy something from razer again - they make stupid mistakes but rise price to the highest and make a ♥♥♥♥ing "astonishing" packaging worth half of the product's price instead of fixing glitches.
