Smurfing? Should it be allowed?

I am getting sick and tired of having pointless games that I am forced to leave because someone is likely hacking or smurfing. The ranked competitive system is based on your level of skill, which is easily exploited by people who have main accounts where they are Master Guardians, but they decide they want to make a new Steam account and buy CS:GO again just to go ♥♥♥♥ on lower ranked players. But does anyone ever think about how that makes the other players feel? Of course not. My legitimate Counter-Strike experience is constantly ruined by smurf accounts, whether they are on my team or not. I think Steam should do an IP ban to prevent players who already have an account linked to their IP address from making another account on the same IP. This would give the lower players a fair chance to actually gain their own skill instead of having it be boosted or thwarted by Master Guardians disguised as Silvers.

IP Ban is not possible, you can change your ip faster then rebooting your pc.

Account + IP + HWID Bans typically weed out a large majority of the kiddies hacking. the rest can be dealt with by overwatch.

Well, I've been wondering about this as well. Competitive to me is either 50% good or bad due to that. Each time I get deranked, it's always the smurfs. The ones who are on my team who are smurfs who are throwing on purpose though are the worst. Of course they're top fragging, but when they're saying you're garbage and stuff isn't right. It would almost make somebody not want to play anymore

Smurfs are horrible but an easy way to deal with them is to simply dont give a ♥♥♥ u got to the rank u are by skill then u can get it again not a big deal ip bans can also ruin big streamers and youtubers who just want to provide entertaing content
