Where is the logic here
Look at what I just found out.
In counter strike knives prices can go up to 400 dollars, while in real life it can go up to almost 100 dollars for a top quality knife.

I'm pretty sure it's 100% about 'rarity'.

Rarity is best pony.

Real life knives aren't as rare and don't make you as 1337 as CSGO ones.

Actually I found a combat karambit for about 16 dollars in ebay so it is not that expensive as in counter strike.

Well, on counter strike, way more people see it, you use it more often (unless you love camping or survival things), and you can use it for violent reasons :^).

But it is just stupid to spend 400 dollars on an item in a video game.
Think about it that way, you spend some money on a video game and then you buy a knife in it for about as 20 times as more cash.
That is stupid.

the price is set by players. the money goes to the players. this is nothing to do with valve

I did not say that valve has set the price and even if they did it does not mean that buying video game items for 400 dollars is a smart idea.

Why not? If they have money? Their money, their choice.. lol?!
It's called demand, a basic concept in economics.

Wait, so if I buy a knife in RL I can use it in CS?
