Competitive Cooldowns, and ranking system.
First of all, Hello.

The competitive cooldown system is the worst possible thing any game creator added to a game.

First up is the cooldown for kicking to many members in a short period of time, well please let noobs ruin my gameplay and make my game experience suck.

Secondly the competitive cooldown for leaving a game, what if someone happens to lose the internet connection, or someone gets a blue screen of death, or anything that will close down the game, it's pathetic please fix that and come up with something better. 7 days cooldown for a blue screen of death in my case, thank you.

.....

The ranking system - Well you can't really explain anything or make any guides for it, becuase here is what happend to me. I won 10 matches in a row all with the score of 25+ kills and less than 15 deaths. I de-ranked to Gold Nova 3, then i played a few more matches was around 5 or 6, and ranked up again, played one more match and won de-ranked.

Again you fail to actually create a system that works... I couldn't do it any better but if you get the rights to call yourself a company, please make sure you know how the F to create systems that works, and not bugged "cooldown systems and rank system"

The amount of stupidity in this post is overwhelming

Not really Fawks but when you're competitive and you want to show that you're better than anyone else, a bugged ranking system is not the best thing, and a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Cooldown system that they have no controle over.

The match making system is based off of your skill, So if you do really well you might rank up, but if u do terribly and still get like 20 kills lets say, you will still DeRank Its about your own skill not about how many kills you have. I hope this helped, and btw the cool down system is an amazing system, becasue if there wasent any, a bunch of trolls would make a 4 man team join 1 dude and all leave and make him play by his or herself.

As for the cooldowns, think about it this way: You left your teamates in a 4v5, basically destroying any chance at winning. I think if you ruin someones game entirely, you deserve a ban of some kind. Also, the "kicking too many players" type of cooldown is there for a very good reason. Before they made that a thing, there were like 200 threads a day about people getting kicked by griefing pre-mades for no reason. Since that update to the cooldown system, there have been next to no complaints.

Then, for the ranking system: It is an Elo based ranking system. If you don't know what that is/how it works, feel free to look it up.

The cooldown system is the GREATEST thing they've added to MM.

What's wrong with it?

If your PC isn't working properly, or your internet isn't stable... Here's a solution. DON'T PLAY MM AND RUIN THE GAME FOR 9 OTHER PLAYERS.

You're the problem. The cooldown system is the solution.

Fix yourself, the system is perfect.

This ♥♥♥♥ing system is driving me mad. My ISP fails, my connection is lost for couple of minutes, I try to join back but the ♥♥♥♥ing connection keeps timing out even though my connection is restored perfectly. Automatic ban.

Then, join a ranked match only to find that enemy team is full of blatant cheaters. You can't leave the game, so you are stuck being there as a ♥♥♥♥ing punching bag so that cheaters could have something to shoot at and so you could have your rank lowered.

Also, if teammate ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ enough runs into your molotov, the game things you are teamkilling -> ban

I was going to play some CS:GO tonight, but because of these ♥♥♥♥ing unjust bans, it seems I cannot.

♥♥♥♥ this game and ♥♥♥♥ those who thought this would be a good idea.

kicking someone just because in your opinion they are not a good player is ruining the game for that person. now if they make no attempt at any communication thats a bit more understandable.

also your at 7 day ban level. you been doing something wrong cause majority of people never see past a 30 min ban.

was that the first time your computer gave you BSOD while playing csgo? if not it is 100 percent your fault for not troubleshooting the problem, something is causing computer to do that and it can be fixed but it wont go away by ignoring it.

no offense but at 20 hours i highly doubt u can tell the difference between a cheater and a skilled player. i still do not feel as though i can tell the difference between the two with 100 percent certainty unless someone is being completely blatant about it which i have yet to see

also making friends and queing with them elimates the problem with having griefers on the team, just saying

I agree the cooldown system is horrible my team surrendered because the server was lagging too much that we couldn't play and it said that i abandoned so i thought something was wrong and when i tried to join back it wouldn't let me so i ended up with a 24 hour cooldown

Del Dukes - I had a score of 80+ points, and the oppesite team ranks were AK, or Gold nova 4, I were gold Nova 4, in all of the matches, and I deranked. That's the problem... It must be skill beating AK's and Double AK's with the highest scores ingame?. I don't think that deserves any De-ranking at all.

For the abondoning teammates, I've never abondoned a match without there being some sort of technical issue, "Blue screen of death, or the game shutting down on it's own" I don't think it deserves a ban for that, and steam dosen't even have the knowledge to remove the CD, if you write to them and explain what happend, and they can't even confirm it.

I know hundreds of players would contact steam then, and they would be swarmed by messages, but I don't find it fair that people who actually have legit reasons for disconnecting from a game gets cooldowns.

For the scrub/trolling part of course.. I see the neccesity for it, but they should re.configure it somehow.

About the "Kicking cooldown", Well there is still scenarios where people in ones team is yeah.... they don't deserve to even play the game, and if you find it neccesary to kick a player to win, why get a cooldown for that, if it's an obvious troll trying to ruin the game....

...you can't tell if a person who scopes your whole team through wall with headshots is not a cheater..? Did you see that I used the term "Obvious"?

i kinda agree with OP. i got a cooldown for being kicked to recently, when i was last kicked 9 days ago, so i guess they could fix their definition of "recent"
