Skyrim Grey faces HELP PLEASE
I'm experiencing a problem, all of a sudden every mod I download that adds new NPCs makes the faces of the NPCs grey and discollored, but their bodies are regular. Its annoying and I havent yet downloaded Dragonborn so I'm worried that all my NPCs in Dragonborn will have this problem. Please help, I've tried unsubscribing and deleting from the data files but im not really all that computer smart so I'm not sure if theres something else i can do.

Although I am an old modder, I have dragonborn and sadly I have the gray face bug to as well as thousands of others.

We have come down to one major conlusion and thats one of the latest patches of Skyrim from Bethesda. Your not alone in wanting this pain in butt to be fixed.

I bump this thread!

"Thousands of others"? I have never heard of this, and the only thing I can find is a few threads in which mod makers are asking for help with the problem, then someone posts the fix and the thread is done.

Not exactly. Some fixes work others do not. Some people are just stuck reinstalling and deleting everything and the problem is still there and cannot be fixed.

I have already posted that to some people to. That fix did not work for me at all.

There are some mods that also cause this bug. And yes thousands of people have it. Even those who don't go on forums like this I bet theres even more but just pack up the game and stop playing it for a long time. Its a really big issue today.

Is it only with the new NPCs added by the mods? Then you should check to see if a .bsa file with the same name is present in the Data folder. Sometimes the .bsa file ends up in the Skyrim folder instead of the Data folder. If there's no .bsa file, then the modder has forgotten to upload that file or Steam upload didn't work for the .bsa file. If there's no .bsa file with the FaceGenData for the new NPCs you will experience grey faces and neck seems.
