Downloading Skyrim Dawnguard DLC

if i were to buy Dawnguard for the PC from Best Buy (digital download add-on) will my Steam library integrate it with my Skyrim download?

Yes. Every copy of Skyrim is activated through Steam whether you buy it from another retailer or own a physical copy, and the same goes for DLC's. If you purchase any Skyrim DLC's through Best Buy, or any retailer for that matter, you'll be given a code that must be entered through the steam client. This will grant you access the downloadable content, and it will be permanently tied to your account.

thank you for the information. i wasn't sure if steam itself owned the means of providing the download, since Best Buy uses some 3rd party malware software program to act as a go in-between for downloads bought from them.
