Proving honor quest bug.
In the quest "proving honor" I get to the point where I have to give the shard to skjor. I do, then the quest is marked as finished, but the objective "return to jorrvaskr" is marked as incomplete. It tells me to look for work from the leaders, but I am unable to do so or progress in any other way. I made a new character and progressed as far, and I have the same trouble. Any suggestions?

That doesn't work. Also reseting the quest in the console does nothing.

no, I return to jorrvaskr, talk to skjor, when the dialogue exits, it's bugged.

I no longer have this problem, did a clean install, updated my mods. So it is a mod error, check your mod load order, conflicts in mods, and update all of them.

I had a similar problem with ‘Trouble in Skyrim’ the first time I did it a week ago. I also had a crash (unresponsive computer requring a reboot using the power switch) just before then, when I was about to enter Jorrvaskr to report to Farkas. I pressed ‘E’ to ‘Open Jorrvaskr’, the screen went black, and then I got a weird non-Windows BSOD with a frowning text smiley : (. I couldn't ever find Farkas (he had a map marker but nothing else, and was nowhere to be found).

I looked up the UESP ID for it (CR05 if I remember correctly), and UESP for the relevant Console commands ‘getstage’ and ‘setstage’. I used ‘getstage CR05’ to see what the problem was (it was set to 1.00 for some reason), and ‘setstage CR05 20’ to get it back on track. That allowed me to complete it successfully. I haven't had any problems with the Companion (or any other) quests since, including a second ‘Trouble in Skyrim’ quest.

The only problem, such as it is, is that I have a ‘Trouble in Skyrim’ quest among my completed quests that still has ‘Return to Farkas’ with an open diamond next to it, rather than a filled diamond for having done that.

Only mods I have are the five Unofficial Patches (for Skyrim, the 3 DLCs and the High-Res DLC).

Ok !
I think i resolved the problem.
I think it was a mod that was causing the problem. I'm checking which one.

Maybe : Requiem or Extensible Follower Framework / or some mods which changed the compagnons ..

I think mine was the alternate start, since then it has been patched, but that's where the problems originated.

Oh, yes, i had this mod too. I also remove this mod.

Sure, this is not Requiem.

Ok, i think i found it. It was the mod : Ronin's Aela Overhaul.
