1 FILES FAILED TO VAILDATE AND WILL BE REACQUIRED?!?!?!?!?!
Ever since that format memory update I've been getting this message when I try to verify integrity of game cache??, I don't know about everybody but I'm having this issue, my game still runs and all but my game all of sudden became really glitchy with some of my Nexus mods, anybody know how to fix this or do I just have to wait for a update?, I already tried reinstalling my Skyrim and it didn't work please HELP!

It all depends on how many MODS you are running and it what order. Personally I would back up your game to an EXTERNAL memory device. Then do a CLEAN install of the game. BEFORE gaming go to the NEXUS MOD Manager and deselect ALL the MODS that you don't NEED. What I have learned the hard way - is that STEAM files are more apt to be LORE friendly while NEXUS usually is not. Seriously I had the same glitch and my game completely crashed. Luckily the STEAM cloud saved me. I did a clean install and things are running much better. Mind you I had about fifty MODS running at the same time. So I deleted all the MODS that I truly did not need and reactivate each MOD one by one. That helped me solve the issue. Also NEXUS MODS do not inform you of updates to versions to their MODS. Therefore you have to go through and check each one to make sure they won't glitch your system. Hope it helps. It took me a while to get the game on track but the less mods you have running the better. Hope this helps you. Let me know how it all worked out.

@=EGC= Kaliell4, I already reinstalled and uninstalled the game 3 times as well as the Nexus and still no change or fix?, this has to be some kind of update error or glitch related to that last memory format update, I was almost at the point of reformatting my hard drive with a clean windows7 64 bit, but you know what this problem is beyond me plus I looked it up and quite a few people are having this problem, but just to let you know clean game reset, no mods, and still this message comes out?????

I know that feel. I uninstalled all my mods, restarted Steam and my PC multiple times, and uninstalled and reinstalled the game, and nothing. Still missing one file. I also contacted Steam Support 3 days ago, and they've given me no reply. :/

Try this Steam support article -> How to remove and refresh your Steam files

The same thing happened to me, where after the update 1 Skyrim file fails to validate and Skyrim keeps randomly crashing my entire computer.

I tried uninstalling and re-install Skyrim, unchecking the DLCs, the remove and refresh Steam files trick, checking my RAM/Memory, anti-malware scans, CCleaner scans, Windows Updates, Nvidia Updates & resetting default settings, et cetera but nothing works.

My guess is the problem is either the Steam update and/or a Skyrim update, either way I hope the Steam Team fixes and/or acknowledges this soon, because I was finally starting to play Skyrim again; but the constant random computer crashes have stopped me from trying until Steam fixing this.

They still haven't sent me anything. I thought that they were supposed to respond within 48 hours...

It is the weekend, many companies seem less likely to respond Friday - Sunday, let us hope they respond on Monday. ;)

hello everyone, just read this and had to comment. I havent played skyrim since the beginning of june, i know, i know, just a break after my 330 hour run, anywho, my wife says to me go ahead and get the new dlc.
i say ok and proceed to paypal. when installing i notice a new convert files thingamajig show up on screen and hope to higher powers that this doesnt screw up my err, stuff.
let me stay i have spent all afternoon trying to figure this out. secondly im sorry to all of you who are experiencing this same problem. and third i wish i was smarter to figure it out. please everyone who reads this and has an idea to post your comments, we need help.

i purchased both dlc content, when i go to dawnguard and try to open front door, i am crashing to desktop. when i tried to enter windstad manor house i built, i crashed to desktop. when i purchased child room furnishes for house in riften and tried to enter house, i crashed to desktop. upon opening an earlier save prior to purchase in riften, i can enter just fine, afterall, my wife is there. for the record i went to my house in whiterun ( i have every house but have not tested them all) and purchased the room addition no problem, only after removing all the mods for that house I had. the kids moved in and what a swell family. however after the bugs at windstad i removed that dlc from loading so i could look up a solution online. i have not found one as of yet.

what is more confusing is now dawnguard is acting up. did this somehow translate over from the other expansion?

i removed many mods, around 28 which honestly i didnt need. one mod that is important is misty top. its a house mod that i must keep. it took 8 hours of game play just to move all my gear into that house so i am not about to remove it. (yes, im a hoarder :( )

like i said, i only have the dawnguard dlc activated of the two i purchased and when i get to the front door of the keep, i click open and it crashes to desktop.

is anyone else getting this same scenario as me?
