i got a message from steam and here it is

From what I have seen on the forums, many people have sent queries to Steam and/or Bethesda. Why are you the sole person to have been graced with a response?

I agree. Where is the rest of the email that was sent to you? No on else has recieved a response nor has there been any official announcement about this happening.

OK , people I got the same canned response, which in reality says nothing. The files are still on my PC, unchecked mind ya, but still there. The only thing they fixed is that it is un-licensed, that's it. The response is real, just doesn't answer sheettttttt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Going to their news page says nothing. Thier update page mentions nothing. They are not giving a realistic response as if it never happened.

Playing Devil's Advocate, I think they got hacked. Don't want to say that cause it could cause more backlash if their data was stolen on their customers info(yours and mine) and the upload was severl megs larger than the normal upload for the game, which means there could have been a trojan installed into that upload to those who receive the update. All conjecture here, but if real I would keeep my mouth shut also about the dawngaurd incident too.

i ran a full caompuer virus scan and did find a trojan like a few days ago. did you scan ur pc

Yes, but I am not saying it was from the update(it could have beeen) , but I had a trojan right after the update. It came up flagged by 3 of the four virus checkers I use.
