Why does workshop only let you have 2 mods active at a time?
WHY?

EDIT: basicly when I try to run more than 2 mods on skyrim IT CRASHES but when I have 2 mods or less its fine :(

I don't know what you mean. I have never run into any limits.

fix:
go to skyrim.nexusmods.com
download Nexus Mod Manager
get only mods from there

You probably have a problem with load order or mod conflicts, use Wrye Bash (http://wryemusings.com/Wrye%20Bash.html) and BOSS (http://boss-developers.github.io/) for Skyrim.

I have 14 mods running from the Workshop along with maybe a dozen of my own creation. Like Altbert said, it may be a load order issue.

one of your mods might need another mod you dont have, like skyui or skse

I have over 50 mods running, managed by both Wrye Bash and BOSS. Before trying out a new mod, I allways start running Wrye Bash (for load order), then BOSS (mod conflicts) to remove conflicting mods, and then Wrye Bash again. Works very fine for me!

masterjeef, you're right! Always read the description of the mod carefully. You may need other mods in order to have the new mod run. Mod descriptions (and the discussion pages) may let you know about conflicting mods.

Or perhaps you have conflicting mods. I have mods from the workshop and one from Nexus, 12 in total, but no conflict. Uninstall them both, then install one, see if you have issues. If not, then whichever one you left uninstalled is the culprit. Read the description to see if it answers your question.

I have about 24 mods running and none of them are managers or check the load order, etc. It's just a simple matter of adding them one at a time, as others have stated already. When one causes a problem, I deselect it and move on. I'm also only using stuff from the Workshop.

It's also helpful to take a look at each mod before deciding to subscribe. Ones that have been around for a while, get high reviews, have lots of comments which are responded to, get regular updates, etc. tend to be the safest bets.

That's good advice.

Dude you need a faster hamster for your wheel.I had to lol when i read that you thought your mod limit was two. This coming from a noob of one year ago.I have 100 mods running, plus an ENB,SKSE,on high setting.I have 15-16 mods from Steam and the rest from Nexus.I use BOSS.Your mod limit is whatever you pc can handle.

Here are some tips on modding.1.READ what the mod is about, how to install it,if it has conflicts with other mods, needs other mods to work right, read the comments.2.NEVER load 20 mods in at once and thinking it's not going to CTD,one at a time see if it's working then try another and so on.3.There are many guides and videos to help someone new to modding.4.Goggle it.5.Load order(BOSS) know it/live it.

All this done on my little two year old craptop, sure it starts to smoke after a while and melts iced drinks if placed to close to it.What i'am saying is if i can do it anyone can.
