Castle Dawnguard is for the other DLC, Dawnguard. And you don't really get to explore "Morrowind" per se. It's really Solstheim (which is from the Morrowind DLC Bloodmoon). Technically, due to politics within the game, Solstheim is now a part of Morrowind, but you don't actually get to go to Vvardenfell or the mainland.

The quest should start on its own once you reach around level 10-15.

Ok cheers! Umm yes i had a memory blank i am a Dawnguard member but getting bored just killing vamp after vamp, and building the house was keen to explore some new lands bit dissapointing if you cant actually go to Morrowind.... so whats in Solstheim and where is it?
Sorry Dawnguard DLC is not Morrowind, it is Dragonborn DLC where you go to Solstheim and it is part of Morrowind (One of its islands). Castle Dawnguard is and isn't, its right on the border, with mountains all round it with enterance from skyrim.
It's an island located between Skyrim and Morrowind, if you're talking about lore.
As for how you get there, you have to be a certain level (should be from level 10-15 or higher) and be inside a main settlement. You'll know when it happens. ;)

Anyway, you eventually get on a boat and go to Solstheim. Just be ready to see a lot of ash. But there is also the typical Skyrim snow and ice with some grass. It sounds really bland when I say it like that but it really is a bit of a breather from the usual Skyrim.

There are some pretty cool weapons and armor you can get from the DLC. Personally, I prefered Dawnguard, but they're both phenomenal add-ons with their own merits. Dragonborn's story is 'meh' at best, but it has A LOT of exploration and side quests.

I added Dragonborn to my car to buy just then and it said i already own this game......made me think it was included in the Legendary edition? If Dragonborn is a seperate add from Legendary and you think its worth it ill get it. Anything to stop me scratching at the walls till Elder Scrolls Online comes out im addicted to this game is crazy!!!!
Dragonborn should have been included with your copy of Legendary Edition. Check your data files in the startup menu. If you have "Dragonborn.esm", then you've got it. If not, then I'm afraid someone else might have to help since I just bought the game and add-ons separately. But you shouldn't have to buy it.
Thanks DerAlleinTiger. I will check my files, How do i get on this boat? Where is the settlement? I NEED answers damnit haha i will never stop!
The quest markers will show you once the quest starts. Like I said, just go into a major settlement (Whiterun, Windhelm, Solitude, etc. etc.) and, if you're a high enough level, something will happen that will automatically start the quest. You also must have completed a certain quest in the main questline. I'm not sure which one, but I'm certain you've already passed it at this stage.
Sorry, I won't be able to answer anything more. It's 3AM here and I'm really tired. Hope you enjoy the DLC!
When you get first dragon soul that will start dragonborn and you meet up with dragon cultist (nasties). Search them for clues. Just a hint don't go and start quest on island, run around and level up first you will need it.
Sweet Kelvy, This is my second major character in Skyrim and im not following the Dragonborn questline want to try something different but i am absorbing dragon souls when i kill them havent yet met cultist, think im about level 50 now and havent seen a quest automatically start to go to the island.....
Once you start the quest you lose some dragon soul to your foe. You can go to the island and do other things, your choice, ship at windhelm will take you there(convice the captain or pay for the trip). Check to see if you have Dragonborn.esm in data file, you should have had the culist by now. I have had to fight them 4 times now and I havn't started the quest but been to the island.

There is a mod that lets you either go to morrowind or obliviuon or both I am not sure, but can only be accessed via the console once it is installed. I believe was actually playing the games inside Skyrm. I saw it on a youtube video. I think the mod is on Nexus though.

For me it started when I just finished the first quest where you meet the greybeards and learn that new shout.
Yes i would play this to, but it doesn`t functionally. How we can get to morrowind, from whitch place in the game...?
@Faith, maior settlement??? What does it mean, what is a maior settlement?
