What is causing my mod to crash the game?

I changed a NPC to a new race from another mod and I gave her armor from a even other mod.

I made sure my mod was last in the load list, but it stll crashes if my mod is turned on during the game. Not on load up the game. But sometimes loading the save. Sometimes I can get in but walking around it crashes quickly. Turning my mod off fixes it.

Do I need to combine the other mods in order for it to work?

yeah, changing NPCs via console commands is not very good. tends to crash the game... especially if the cahnge is mods related. Load an olde save and you should be able to play again, but dont change the NPC again.

I didn't console command it. Besides, I have no save with it on.

in that case, both the follower mod and the race mod have to be active

They are active. Even loaded before my own. Hm... Thanks for trying though

There could be some scripts involved in the armor or race that you modded the follower from. There could be a hot mess of script that is keeping you from getting what you want. Sorry. I can't help, only offer insight as to what could be wrong. I'm sure actual modders may be able to help more.

I am changing Slygia (spelling?) the miner from Shors Stone to a Materra. The first Materra, not the fighter or magic race of Materra. Then I put engineer cloths on her from the japanese(?) site with armor.

The only thing I didn't do is create a face dump because I wanted to see if it would work first.

I changed her clothing to that of the engineer clothes and put it on and it shows up just fine on the preview.

Something is going on that the game does not like...


hm... Maybe I should make a mod that changes her clothes to engineer first and see if that works, then make another to change her race. But I am to busy to do it right now.
