Yes, but they can't say anything else about the game IIRC.

I don't think anyone cares for the beta or the game.

There announcement of the pay to play became the let down, and it makes zenimax look money grabbing.

Well play to play is nothing.

But pay to play is a monthly subscription.
After watching several free-to-play MMOs waste away into contentless drivel, I'm happy to pay a subscription *if, and only if* the content is both excellent and regular.

Try checking the pay-to-play mmo's and see that most went to free-to-play.

Eso will be no exception considering it lost most of its protential player base by announcing pay-to-play.

I think "most" is an important qualifier. :-) It will probably go f2p, but I'd rather it try the sub model first. Eve is a great example of a successful subscription MMO.

Buy-to-play is the model it should have been.

Eso isn't unique enough (Eve) or popular enough (WoW) to warrent a subscription.

There is no real hype or support anymore, the game will be released and die as it turns to free-to-play (considered dead mmo) with its small supporting player base who enjoy paying a company for a bad decision in the hope that something good might happen.

History does have a habit of repeating itself and yet zenimax decides on a subscription model after so many mmo's have boldly failed before. Even the mighty World of Warcraft is suffering with sub losses but is still able to maintain that subscription through sheer numbers, what hope does eso have when it hasn't even been released and a giant of an mmo is losing its player base.

Well the good news is that eso will be released on pc/mac, xbox one and ps4, however the bad news is it isn't cross platform, so they are all on seperate servers and can't play/interact with each other. Adding the fact that xbox one and ps4 will have just been released, there won't be that many console players around period, not forgetting players who actually own one of the two consoles with the eso game. To make it worst there is a subscription fee for the live/psn features depending on the console, meaning players coming from the consoles have to pay for two subscriptions, one to playstation or microsoft the other to zenimax just to play eso.

There are too many con's and not enough pro's and zenimax is the biggest con with eso.

After the disappointment that is GW2, I am skeptical of any model without a subscription. B2P eventually reduces to F2P.

It's possible to have 500,000 subs and still maintain sufficient revenue. Not every game needs to have WoW numbers to survive! :-)

Anyway, we'll see how it turns out soon enough. Nothing any of us can do at this point.
