There seemed to have been an update where everyone got "Dawnguard" for free.
Some have already stated the "Dawnguard" DLC was removed; as it was most likely a mistake and not a FREE DLC for people to acquire.

As for me, I have no idea of what's actually going on as I already owned Dawnguard, so I did not get the update.

I own it as well, but did gat an update, but was only 10% of the size reported. Probably what the real update was but as I owned it, no DLC to boost the sizeof download.

It would probably be Steam, not Bethesda. Steam is the party that actually shoves data at you, Bethesda only write that data.

Well when it finished downloading i pulled my internet pulg and copied the files tuned it on and they were gone in my skyrim folder but not on my desktop

i already had the dlc and since they made the new update it has been removed from my steam folder thank you i have to re download the dawnguard from internet again because your dlc is too expensive

its not free they just saved the files and are going to use them as a pirate version (steam recognizes the dlc) so if they re install the game they have to make a back up of dawnguard files

ya i was lucky and got the update i notice they removed the license but i still got the esp i wonder tho if that can get you in trouble with steam since they removed the licence (dawnguard isn't listed as dlc anymore under properties) then on the other hand they did give me the files so any fault i get is there own mistake lol
