The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Statistiche:
New update killed my game???
First time starting game it froze just before the continue option. 2nd time I can click continue and it immediately shuts the game down. Zero freaking problems, not one until this update. This BLOWS!!!

Looks like they gave away Dawnguard, Check where it is in load order. Should be at top of the list in Data Files.
Ok, will do and thanks. Gonna verify files just in case the update bugged it too.
The new update actually improved things in my game. Already had the DLC (Legendary Edition).
Same here. Since the latest update Skyrim won't start. I did not get dawnguard, I paused the update to do some business and when I unpaused it the update stopped. So it must have been pulled while it was paused. But somehow it has managed to completely screw up my game. Put in a ticket to Bethesda for all the good it will do.

I verified my files and it said one file needed to be reacquired. It works fine now so it's just a temporary bug. I did not get dawnguard either, not listed in my files. Wouldn't expect it to be free anyway.
If you load up a save and it says it is missing content, you hit ok, and then the game crashes or gets stuck on the loading screen (like mine does every time I remove a mod) load up Skyrim again, then start a new game. The first moment you can get to the menu, do so and load up your save again. The warning will still appear about missing content, but if you confirm to load the save, it will proceed to do so without any issue and you can carry on with your game as normal.

Don't know why, but for me, starting a new game, then immediately loading my save after the new game loads, fixes any possible crash / stuck loading screen issues I get from removing a mod.

If you remove a mod again in the future, you need to repeat this step again when loading any existing saves..... but you only have to do this once each time you remove a mod. As soon as your save loads, save over it again or progress through the game normally and any saves from here on in will be fine.

Unfortunately tried this twice, both times it claimed I was missing 700k file, and both times downloaded file and did no good. Even went so far as to remove my "main" and "update" ESMs and Skyrim executalble so they could be updated. Updated them, and still not working. So no go for me; I hope Bethesda has some ideas.
The one file missing thing in Skyrim is something everybody gets, even I, yet the game always runs fine.... in most cases, this missing file in the verify game cache is completely unrelated to most issues with crashing, etc.
