skyrim creation kit, help!
I am having a problem where the error/warning boxes are all blank except for a few letters of each line. The whole top of the ck just looks wrong.

I hope this is right. After spending about an hour making my own mod, I went to save it and even the window that popped up was all blank except folder icons. Knowing which folder was which I still went through and chose the folder I wanted, clicked save and another error box showed up but with me not being able to see the words I had no idea what it was saying. Needless to say it didn't save my work so I have redo it all. I know my Skyrim is up to date but I have no idea on the CK. Any help would be greatfull. thanks in advance.

Long shot, but have you done the tedious .ini file (Skyrim Editor.ini file) edit?

the only ini thing I've done is add the deal to allow more than 1 master, so if there's something else I'd love to try it. thanks

All I'm going to say is to thoroughly read and understand all of the documentation before you go mucking around with it. If you don't and just jump right into it, you're going to end up with something seriously busted.

after a little playing around I have found that renaming the d3d9.dll will fix it. so if anyone else has this problem and comes across this thread, that was the fix for me.

What did you rename it as?
Alembrik Sep 14, 2013 @ 3:18pm
I don't know what jennifergone renamed it, but if I ever need to rename a file and make it easy to find later, I name it something like (in this example) d3d9_#.dll.

I renamed it to d3d9A.dll that way it's still there and if I do need it I can just remove the A off it
