My Skyrim profiles keep getting erased somehow after saving!!!

Somehow when I play Skyrim for a while and have to seperate profiles like a nord on one and an elf on the other it saves over the other save... Tired of this happening. Someone please halp!

Well I've started auto saving but every once in a whhile I manually save.

The autosaves will hurt you then. Don't rely on them. I think there are mods out there that can help to keep your character saves seperate. Personally, I make a new save every time I save, and when I make a new character move all the saves for the old character to their own little folder on my hard drive. That way, I can drag them all back to the saves folder if I want to play as the old one again.

Yeah. Well it wasw my wifes account lol and she didn't get too far. I'll have to recover for her ;)

Yeah you can not rely on autosaves it uses a set number of seperate saves and once it hits that number it begins overwriting them from the first up. Manual saving is much more reliable. What I do is just make sure i hit a manual save before quiting any character that way if the autosaves get overwritten then you still have your manual of the last point you played.

hey, i need some help guys. how do i delete my saved files on skyrim? cus i got a bug or somethig. i start my quest to join theifs guild and when i have done the 2 first quest, then this man named brynolf or what it was want to show me the anuther room some they are sleeping and training in. as fast i put my foot in there. all start to attack me and kill me all time, anyone know whats the problem is? :P sry my bad eng ppl! thanks for answers!

go to skyrimnexus and search for TES game manager, it lets youc reate several profiles for your game.

Pressing x with savegame highlighted let's you delete save.

for the theives guild, you have to be more specific. like if youve attacked one of them before without knowing who it was, thatll do it since theyll recognize you or something and their buddiesll try to cream your tail too. it could also be a glitch, in which case you might need to use the complete quest objective command so you can just move on. or last but not least, you could have associated yourself against the theivesguild unknowingly by talking to the jarl/guards about it. there is an option with the quest where you can kill the entire guild to gain kudos with the authorities.

Stay away from the guild for 2, 3 days. Go to home sleep for 3 days, then return. Usually works if you did something to a guild member.
