Somehow when I play Skyrim for a while and have to seperate profiles like a nord on one and an elf on the other it saves over the other save... Tired of this happening. Someone please halp!

Are you manually saving, or letting it autosave?
Disrespect 2013. szept. 11. @ du. 6:49
Well I've started auto saving but every once in a whhile I manually save.

The autosaves will hurt you then. Don't rely on them. I think there are mods out there that can help to keep your character saves seperate. Personally, I make a new save every time I save, and when I make a new character move all the saves for the old character to their own little folder on my hard drive. That way, I can drag them all back to the saves folder if I want to play as the old one again.

Is there any way I can restore the saves that I lost?
Chris 2013. szept. 11. @ du. 6:58
If they were overwritten, I don't believe so...

Yeah you can not rely on autosaves it uses a set number of seperate saves and once it hits that number it begins overwriting them from the first up. Manual saving is much more reliable. What I do is just make sure i hit a manual save before quiting any character that way if the autosaves get overwritten then you still have your manual of the last point you played.

Skyrim automatically saves the data of the player character you're currently playing in three rotating auto-save files which protect you from losing progress as you're playing the game. [F5] is your quicksave button. This save gets replaced every time you press [F5]. [F9] is the quickload - so if you do a [F5] before a battle and something goes wrong, you just press [F9] and it'll reload that last [F5] save without having to reload a save from the menu. A "New" save is a numbered save which is good when you want to save your character at any important point in the game that you don't want over-written. This is the save you use if you want to start a new player character. It also helps if each player character has a different name in order to keep track of who's who and in what part of the game you're playing. I run the game with several characters, including multiple saves of any character all in the same save folder, and never had any problems.

for the theives guild, you have to be more specific. like if youve attacked one of them before without knowing who it was, thatll do it since theyll recognize you or something and their buddiesll try to cream your tail too. it could also be a glitch, in which case you might need to use the complete quest objective command so you can just move on. or last but not least, you could have associated yourself against the theivesguild unknowingly by talking to the jarl/guards about it. there is an option with the quest where you can kill the entire guild to gain kudos with the authorities.
