Khajiit appearance
Do any of you remember what Khajiit looked like in the good old days (Daggerfall)? Way cooler than nowadays if you ask me! Now they just look weird imo.

What do you guys think?

Well, in "Oblivion", they reminded me of African Lions and Lionesses. Now in "Skyrim", they remind me of Lynxes or House Cats. I thought it was just a regional difference, until I met Maiq the Liar for the first time in the new game. Instead of looking like the lion he used to be like, now he reminds me of a different species. I don't know what to think about why they changed them for "Skyrim". But despite his new look, I was happy to see Maiq again!
I was thinking of this kind of look actually, more human than cat. I never liked the idea of giant cats walking on two legs.

I never realized they've changed the appearance between the Oblivion and Skyrim games, but now that you mention it they do look pretty different.
Khajiit are an odd race, made up of 17 species/forms (based on the phases of the moons when an individual is born). http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Khajiit#Morphology (how much of that is fanwank and how much is from official and semi-official sources I dunno).

Really, the great variety of Khajiit types would make Elsweyr perhaps the most interesting locale for a The Elder Scrolls VI. IMHO, anyways.

So you want the cat people to not look like cats is what you're telling me? Okay...

As for me, I love the way they've made the cat people, I don't know, actually look like cats. It just makes them unique and special, and a lot more interesting than the bland old humans and elves. Personally, the only races that seem worthwhile to play as for me are the Argonians, Orcs, and Khajiit, only because they're things you can't play as in pretty much every other RPG. Yes, I know, OrsiMER are elves too, but because of their deformed appearance and portrayal as "orcs" it kind of puts a rift between them and the other, bland, mer races.

Well everything was better in 2012 than now. But then 2012 pales in comparison to 2011. And oh man you do not want to get me started on 2010!

Meaning that in gaming, people often remember the good things and forget the bad. Let's just say '90s gaming was not all roses and sunshine. Nostalgia happens to all of us... but as for the Khajiit, I like the current style
Remember the 90's ? The 90's where so much better.. now all hope is lost.

The Ma'iq in Oblivion is likely not the same Ma'iq in Skyrim as Skyrim takes place a couple of centuries later.

Maybe its like Klingons - genetic experimentation gone awry that they don't like to talk about.

To be honest, I never cared about Khajiits. Be more human, or more beast-like, they are related to cats, animals that I dislike.

And they dislike you back... greatly. Cause cats are cool like that.

Cats dislike everybody. If you're lucky they will tolerate you, but they will still dislike you. That's just how cats are.

That's what I mean. They're cool like that. Someone says "I hate cats", and cats say "We hate you back". Say the same thing about a dog and the dumb mutt will think you're the greatest thing in the universe.

I couldn't care less of what they think, or what do you think they think.

Hello! #00: On behalf of my cat, Sox Socks, to those that dislike cats of all kinds, "May a bird of paradise fly up your nose. May an elephant caress you with his toes." #01: Since Klingons were brought up, don't forget Caitians! #02: "Ma'iq"? Well, he talks and behaves as if he is the very same cat. Just talk to him long enough. #03: As a "Leo" I can relate to cats, so don't mess with my "Leo Pride", man. Also, as a "Dragon", I hope that dragon slaying won't be required once the dispute or whatever is resolved. I've never made it that far, so I don't know how it ends yet. For now, killing them rather than taming them or befriending them, is a major bummer.

Well, M'aiq does say that he was named after his father, who was named after his father, who was named after his father, and so on.
well, to be fair, it's entirely possible that your "thunderkhajiit" might still exist within official TES lore, as khajiit are different depending on what phase of the moon they're born in.
