Mods. How do they work?

How do you access the mods ingame i ticked all the boxes in data files but i dont know where to acces them

It depends on the mod. Some quest mods activate automatically when you load up the game with them active (you get a message and a new quest to follow) others require you to find them in game (a few... not many) a lot of armor and weapon mods just add recipes for the weapons/armor and you have to get the perks/materials to make them. (sometimes if it's a compiliation it'll add to the leveled list so you can find them on enemies and such, but not often if it's just one set) and I'm gonna just stop right there because there are many, many ways that mods can begin in skyrim.

The best thing to do is to read the mod authors instructions as they usually tell you exactly what you need to do in game.

I've only had this game for a couple months. At first I never touched the "workshop" button cause I assumed it would take me to a prompt asking for a credit card. But basically it is as easy as getting an app on a smart phone. Pick one you like with as many subscribers as possible and a good rating and click subscribe. Unsubscribing is just as easy. Just make sure to read the particulars. Sometimes you have to find a special book or treasure chest or have certain skill perks. And some others are straight up cheat codes.

You can also find out stuff about the mod through loading it and accessing it in the creation kit, although i would find out what your doing before trying that.
