Horseless headless horseman in skyrim

Yeah, so I was strolling along the dragonbridge after just having intimidated a slaver kajiit guy in the four shields tavern and I spot someone running along the bridge in front of me. I wonder "who is that guy?" so I sprint up to him and discover that it is the "headless horsman" which is a bit ironic because, though he was headless he was not a horseman. Now I've ran into the headless horseman before... but he has a horse. Anyone else had this glitch before?

No i only know the normal one heh , well to call him normal might be to much , since he bugged , and i mean bugged hard , he got stuck , but since he had to run, he kept trying , till he began to fly in light speed ...

It was quite fun actually hehehe.

I saw one while doing a campanons quest, he was like a ghost riding along on his horse, who is he supposed to be and can we go knock him off his horse?

As far as I'm aware he's not able to be interacted with at all. Just a random curious encounter really.
Every time I've seen him he's had his horse though, but Skyrim can generate some VERY impressive bugs now and then, so it's not surprising really.

Out of over 350 hours of playing skyrim, I have not once seen the headless horseman, or the glitch. I have seen it on youtube though. Its neat

It is a Easter Egg of the tale it is not a glitch,if you type "help horse" in the console,it will say "Headless HorseMan"

I usually see him near Dragon Bridge. Yes,it's an easter egg. Follow him for mini-battle and some loot. The loot is nothing special though.

what's with people not reading the whole post before posting on it, yes, I am well aware that the "headless horseman" is an easteregg witin skyrim. If you read the first word of my topic "horseless" you might get an idea of what I am refering to.

I've seen him do 3 different things, 1. riding his horse and could barely keep u with him 2. chasing his horse because maybe he fell off? 3. the horse was chasing so i decided to not intrigue further into the matter...

Hmm, it makes me wonder how he fell off of his horse in the first place? I mean, he's invulnerable and untouchable, right? I guess he could have ran into another ghost that attacked him to steal the horse or something. I guess we just chalk it up to another bethesda bug (it's funny that even the eastereggs in a bethesda game are bugged)
