No good armour for male characters - why all the same?
Seriously why are there no good armours for male characters? it seems there all just the exact same and all make the male character just look as if there a man trapped in bad 'wizard of oz' tin suit...

The only two i can find that dont seem to do this are Warchief and SonsofSkyrim outfit (i know the SoS outfit is just the elijzah outfit) as everything else just looks as if the characters trapped in a bad tin suit.

Even the Tera mod armours all look as if there characters stuck in a tin suit

Are there not any good looking armours for male characters that DONT do this? it seems for female characters theres like over 500+ different looking styles of armour/clothes yet for male characters it seems as if its either A) look as if there trapped in a tin suit or B) an odd rain coat looking style outfit

can anyone suggest any outfits that DONT look like these? i have 2 male followers with nothing good to wear which i cant use

Easy, make your own that look better.

You can't really complain about mods, that's a little on the ungrateful side, they are making them for free...and it's EXTRA content...so if you're not happy with what other modders have made, just make your own stuff.

Plus, there are way more female armour mods than male armour mods for a good reason...can you guess what it is?..lol

You are asking for a lot. I think the TERA Armours are some of the best re-tex/moddeling I've seen..they should be congratulated for their efforts, not insulted.

It's really simple... a large amount of skyrim players are adolecent/sad adults who enjoy porning up their games with skimpy armor and nude females and such because they aren't succeeding in the age old quest in real life... so modders catter to that desire sadly. The bosmer armor packs are among my favorite, I think they look pretty badass.

But why would someone want a good looking armor for male characters? Only phags and perverted ugly girls want that stuff!
Wait, scratch that, girls don't play videogames, and 99.998736% of Skyrim players are straighter than a runway. We guys (yeah, remember we're all guys here) don't need that kind of trash and won't waste our time making stuff what threatens our sexuality, but hey, you can install a mod that replaces all male characters with yummy girls with kitty ears and angel wings, problem solved!
Anyway, it's irrealistic to have a man fighting monsters in little armor, pffft... where's the protection?

Ill take it that all the replys are just

were lore only players - we hate no lore players
we actually have no proper suggestions but will give our 2 cents worth when it wasnt asked for

thanks guys....

Our replies are actually answering (in our own personal way) why all male armors look pretty much the same (and you did that question). We can't give you proper suggestions, because there's hardly any mod that suits your need, welcome to the minorities world, dude.
So nope, they're not "lore unfriendly sucks" comments, they're more like "Ha, good luck in your search or make your own stuff".

Actually, I'm personally using Tsun's armor, it looks nice and isn't a tin suit armor (it's more like Conan the Barbarian's style).

if thats the barbarian armour i have that from the Auxillary armours off the nexus. Sadly my khajit follower isnt Arnold Swartzanigar and looks rather normal so it doesnt suit him sadly.

Also i was just refering to certain members

Which is exactly the style you are looking for?
Cat Daddy - GIFT ME SOMETHING Aug 15, 2013 @ 1:50pm
Just anything that looks great for Khajitts which doesnt make them look like cats trapped in tin-man suits really or anything that doesnt look creepy a la - leather daddys in love - looking such as the dark brotherhood gear

Only complete and hopeless losers entertain themselves by being internet trolls.

For the OP, what would be an example of "good armour" to you? A knight IS a guy stuck in a tin-suit...that's kind of the point.

Not all guys or knights need to be men stuck in tin-suits

Theres dozen of options for female characters. Seems rather crappy the only choice i have for male characters is either

1) Looking like there trapped in a tin suit........and there seems to be a LOT of outfits that look like this

2) Outfits which LOOK as if there trying to tell there parnets something about there sexuality WITHOUT having to actually tell them. Some of the male tera armours look more damn fruity on males than a bowl full of fruit is fruity

it just seems to be it for male characters and i dont see why. I just want some good looking clothes/armours for male characters thats all.

I agree. And that's actually what many guys on the internet say as an "argument" when someone comes with a question like the one on this thread (I exaggerated it for the sake of satire), or complains about the quantity of skimpy stuff for females on videogames.
As the woman I am, this can be very annoying, not to mention the "kitchen jokes".

Now back to the subject. This armor includes a light version, the only thing that I don't like of it is that ugly fox head resting on the shoulder.

There are a few other armors along the lines of Warchief and SonsofSkyrim included in Immersive Armors, have you looked over that mod? I know it has a few tin suits as well, but we can't have everything...

Actually, if you look through Hothtrooper44's mod list, you'll find more than a few individual armor sets that fit your description:

I had a nagging suspicion that your comment was sarcastic but the word "phag" blinded me to the subleties of your post.
