Stuck on quest "Diplomacy Immunity"
So I'm at the part of that quest where you're in the party. I told that Elf guy I was ready, but then I realized that I didn't bring any equipment. I would go back to a previous save before the quest, but I only have one before it that is right at the intro.

He takes the equipment from you before the quest begins and he'll give it back when he leads you into the kitchen.

Unless you are saying you weren't wearing anything at the very begining of the quest so there was nothing for him to take.

Just play the quest without gear, it isjn't really necessary. Go in with fists, shouts, and magic.

In the building it won't let you ready your weapon or magic, shout, or go into sneak mode. The same goes with outside. I may just spawn a sword with console commands.

You have to talk to Malborn, the Bosmer you should have given your gear to beforehand. He's at the bar. He'll ask you to create a distraction. Once you do, he takes you to a back room and you get your gear back. From there, you can go around hacking and slashing to your heart's content.

You could always just put the console in TGM to get through the quest then take it offf again. The first Thailmore you kill take his weapons and armor also.

Here's something, but it will probably only work if you're a High Elf. At the far end of the hall where you exit the kitchen, there is a set of Hooded Thalmor Robes. Put those on and you will be essentially disguised, or at least that's what the developers intended. I tried this as an Imperial and the Thalmor guards eventually figured me out, but I think you can actually get in undetected as an Altmer.
